Jade’s POV

“Jade?”

Someone knocked on my door and I looked up to see who it was. I found out it was my cousin.

“Yvonne.” I called her.

She came inside my room holding some clothes for me to wear. I stood up and walked up to her.

I only wore a bathrobe since I just finished taking a bath and I was waiting for her to get the dress that I’ll be wearing for tonight.

“I asked Risa to find you a decent dress and she gave me this. Hope this suits you well or else I’ll have to do something to her.” she told me.

I took the dress she was pertaining to and I saw it was a navy blue off-shoulder dress with a slightly large slit on my right leg.

I looked in the mirror to see if it suits me and it is, so I went inside my bathroom without any words and just starts wearing it. I came out of the bathroom and letting Yvonne judge me.

“What do you think?” I asked her.

She smiled.

“Just perfect. Blue really fits on you.” she complemented.

I nod at her.

She handed me a 3-inch stiletto that match my dress.

“Do you want me to do your make-up?” she asked me.

I shook my head.

“I can do it.” I said.

“Okay. I’ll wait downstairs with the girls. Just use the elevator if you’re having trouble with the stairs, that’s their purpose anyway.” she said before leaving my room.

I sighed and sat down on my stool before doing my make-up. I only did myself lightly, I don’t want to look like a clown.

After some time, I already finished my make-up and now I’m looking at my eyes. I’m contemplating if I should take off these contacts or not. I decided to take it off and changed it since I’ve been using this for almost 2 days.

After I took out my black eye contacts, my blue eyes greeted me. Yes, I have blue eyes. But, they’re not just a simple blue color. My eyes have every shade of blue in it and that’s what makes me to use contact lenses. These eyes just gave me troubles everywhere.

I took out another contact lenses from my purse and put it on my eyes. Now I only see my black eyes.

Sometimes, using these contacts consecutively makes me think that black is the original color of my eyes. No one, aside from my relatives, parents and friends, knew about this.

After spending several minutes in my room, I finally went out to meet the girls downstairs. I just used the stairs. When I came down, the girls turned their heads to me.

Eva stood up from her seat.

“Goodness, Jade. Ang ganda mo. Sobra.” she said with her hands on her mouth.

She’s wearing a black haltered dress and a 4-inch stiletto. Her brown hair tied in a bun.

“I thought my dress was the best but damn, Jade, you just broke my heart.” Vans commented acting teary eyed.

I shook my head.

She’s wearing also a black backless dress with large slit on her right leg. Her hair’s laid on her shoulders.

“I’d say sorry to Shantel’s party. I’m pretty sure she won’t be the spotlight anymore.” Yvonne smirked. “Thanks to me.” she added.

Faye went up to me.
