Molly's pov
I was so happy when I received a text message from Ally. She didn't hate me!
Maybe I could say how much I didn't hate her, maybe I could tell her how much I liked her.
Actually, no. That's not happening.
Call me a scaredy cat, I don't care. I was NOT going to tell Ally that I was in love with her.
I was sitting on a bench just outside the school gates, waiting for Ally herself to leave.
We had agreed to go into town after school, maybe check out some charity shops.
Speak of the devil, she had walked out of the wooden barricades and turned towards me, stoping a few steps Infront of the bench I was sitting on.
"Um, hi" she mumbled shortly.
"Hey!" I exclaimed, trying to break through the dry atmosphere.
She nodded in response and started to walk ahead, I followed behind.
We walked across the glassy pavement, the wind making an uncomfortable aura around the both of us.
"So," I started, putting a jump in my step "what have you been up to at school?"
She glanced over at me and then back ahead "nothing much, Bethany wrote a new song"
"Oh cool!"
We didn't say anything for the majority of the walk to town, or for most of the time in all the charity shops. The only main interactions would be that I would pick out a t-shirt, show her and she would nod.
She hadn't really forgiven me, had she.
"Oh no, I messed up" I muttered, not realising that I was talking out loud.
"Yeah, you really did, didn't you?"
We were waiting at the bus stop, having come to a mutual agreement that we were to tired to walk home.
"What?" I replied to Ally's words.
"You really really messed up, big time. I don't know how I can express this enough!" She laughed. It was almost as if this was funny to her. "Cause, you made me think you honestly cared! That's actually funny to me. That my stupid brain can't understand the smallest basics of any relationship ever. I was so caught up in my stupid fantasy that-" she cut herself off, like she was catching a half-filled cup from falling off the edge of a table.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what to say" I croaked, my throat suddenly going dry.
She shook her head, her black locks falling around her face, her striking eyes staring what seemed to be into my soul.
"It doesn't matter anymore. It's all fine. In just... Overreacting" Ally sighed.
I put my arm around her without thinking, hoping to comfort her. She stiffened, then visibly relaxed into the random show of affection.
The silence that followed wasn't uncomfortable. In fact, it felt safe.
The bus was five minutes late, but we didn't really mind.
I would love it to have always been like that, time frozen in that moment, a strong mix of melancholy and happiness.
I could do it. I could say something.
I could tell her.
"Ally..." I started. She turned to me, her eyes full of expectance and curiosity.
"I... I just wanted to-"
"Hey there girl! What's up?"
I looked around to see who ruined this moment.
Bethany and Sky were running to the bus stop, seemingly worried that they were going to miss the large vehicle that paused at each.
"You'll never guess who I ran into- oh, hey Molly! Oh, wait, did we ruin something? We can just-" Bethany exclaimed, running to a stop near the end.
"NO! I mean, um, no, your good." Ally replied sharply.
"Ally! That was a quick response! Are you sure?" I teased. She rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless.
The two that had just joined sat down next to us, giggleing as they did so.
"So," I began, making eye contact with the turquoise haired individual who appeared with my best friend "I hear from Ally you made a new song!"
Bethany's eyes glowed with passion as she started to gabble about the new song she was recording and soon, the bus appeared to take us home.

Ally's pov
So I made up with Molly.
It was kind of fun, I guess. She looked stunning in all the items of clothing she picked out. I just didn't say it to her face.
She had tried to say something to me before her friend Sky and Bethany turned up.
But what was it?
Oh no, maybe I had something in my teeth!
I must have looked like an idiot!
I was lying on my bed, reading radio silence as a million thoughts ran through my mind.
Or maybe I had said something insensitive earlier! I had gone on about how she had made a big mistake I guess, but she did deserve that, didn't she?
What was I thinking, this was all my fault.
What had she been trying to say!?
It was exhausting.
I decided to walk to the bench outside Molly's tennis practice. Where we looked at the stars together.
Maybe then I could forget about her cute face- I mean, um, nothing.Well, it didn't work. She plagued my mind like a beautiful butterfly, and the thought of her slowly guided me to sleep.
Underneath the welcoming moon, in a world where Molly was real, I was happy.
Hey guys!
In so sorry about the wait! Hope you all enjoyed the story! (Imma try and make the next update quicker for y'all)
