Why hello there! I wasn't expecting you!
Well, I was, actually.
But ANYwho!
Hope you enjoy the story!Molly's pov
I had spent the last ten minutes trying to decipher why the actual fudge Ally was asleep on a park bench.
I had literally just been enjoying a nice evening walk when BAM!
there was an Ally.
Well, not just ANY Ally, THE Ally. The beautiful, honey eyed, long haired, sarcastic Ally. The- okay, I think I need to stop now.
Well, anyway, what was I going to do with her? I couldn't just leave her there, but she was so peaceful, I couldn't wake her up!
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what I had to do.
Carry her bridal-style, of course!
She was a LOT lighter than I expected. Her soft hair tickled my hands. I walked under the accompanying moon, away from that special bench.
Empty monster cans littered the sidewalk, used cigarettes smashed into the pavement. The light of the big rock floating around our atmosphere shined the way to Ally's house.
I almost forgot I was holding a beautiful human being in my arms until she made a sharp snort and mumbled something.
Ally sleep-talked!
I found that kinda cute, not going to lie.
Finally, I arrived at her front door. It was slightly difficult to ring the doorbell, but I managed it. Ally's dad opened the door, and when he saw the predicament paused, and smiled warmly.
"Why hello there! Thank you for bringing back Ally, in- whatever way you could" he said, smiling.
"Should I put her up in her room?" I asked.
He nodded, moving out the way of the doorway and letting me walk in.
I reached her room, having forgotten what it looked like.
A desk sat in the corner, a bulletin board just above, full of story ideas and quotes. Hanging plants and studio Ghibli references covered the place, leaf pattern carpet on the floor.
I leaned down to lay her down on her bed and stood back up.
Her eyelashes were long and dark. Her faint freckles I measured to my own, more obvious ones.
Is this what the prince felt when he saw snow white?
Maybe I would get a fairytale like that with her.
No, that's stupid.
I sighed and walked back down the stairs. I was about to put on my shoes and leave when a little voice asked me who I was.
I turned round. It was Riely, Ally's little sister. She was holding a small folder under her arm.
"Oh, hello! I'm Molly, Ally's friend" I replied, smiling. Oh how I wished I could say we were more. No, Molly, stop being stupid.
Riely just stood there, thinking. Then, she walked over to me, showing me the folder.
"Come and look at my drawings with me. Mummy is busy with work and daddy is out with his best friend and her new wife. He says it's polite. Manerry. Whatever. Come look at my drawings!" She squealed. I smiled and looked at the time at my phone. I could spare some time.
I sat on their sofa while Riely sat on my lap, showing me in detail each drawing she had drawn at her school today.
"And then tildie said that I couldn't do that so I did it anyway and then she got in trouble which was funny but anyway, my sister says your her best friend. She says a lot about you. Mostly about your eyes. And your hair. And what you ate for lunch. She says she wants to crush you or something like that. She says she wants to-" she babbled, being cut off as her mum walked into the room.
"That's enough, Riely. maybe we should let Ally say this to her." She smirked. She could obviously see the scarlet blush invading my face.
"How about you let Molly free. Molly, darling, your mum will be worried about you if you don't get home. Unless you want to stay until Ally wakes up, but I'm unsure of anything like that happening soon. She finds it hard to sleep, but.once she's out, she's out".
I nodded understandingly and said my goodbyes to Riely and her mum. I knew my own adult wouldn't really care where I was, but Jemmy definitely would. So I put my shoes on. I was sure I heard a footstep or something from the top of the stairs, but when I turned around, all I saw was the painting that had been there since I first came here. I thought that flash of dark hair was a play on my mind.
I started the walk back home.

Ally's pov
She had almost caught me staring. That was close. Luckily I had doged around the corner just in time.
I learnt later from my dad who had eventually gotten back that she had carried me bridal-style.
I must have looked so dumb, probably snoring. I must have been so much trouble.
Why did Molly have to be so sweet!?
And kind, and cute, and pretty, and stunning, and perfect?
It wasn't fair! Why did my crush go and have to be utterly unreachable and yet so amazing!?
Ugh.
It took me a while to get back to sleep, but that was normal. Sleep? I hardly know her!
Never mind.
________________________"WHAT!?"
"yup, bridal-style apparently" I replied to Bethany's loud exclamation. I think she was more exited than I was.
"This is great! So you gonna tell her?" Bethany asked quickly.
My face flushed red.
"NO!" I proclaimed " no no no no no. Not happening. Nope, never, nah nah nah".
She giggled at my outburst finding my panic hilarious.
"What are we laughing at?" I heard from behind.
Molly.
"Ally was just telling me about the time her little sister ate a snail" Bethany replied quickly.
Nice save.
"Cool! Well, you know my birthday didn't go... Well anyway, I was thinking we all tried again? With a sleep over, Bethany there this time and none of those fake friends. What do you think?" Molly smiled, looking down at us expectantly.
"Yeah! Sounds great!" Bethany nodded "and Ally would like to go to" she added after seeing my face.
"Great! So, my place Saturday! I will have snacks!" Molly grinned and walked off.
"Your welcome" Bethany smirked.
"Oh shut up" I mumbled, grinning manically.
Welp, there you have it! I wasn't planning on the second bday sleepover but, yk what, I bet it will be great. I have some good ideas for it😉
Anyway, hope you enjoyed! Feedback is, as always, welcome!
Remember, you are adored and important and amazing.
Remember to drink water!
