HAVEN
To say "I love you" is a difficulty beyond comprehension,
muttered it rarely as great comets even when pulled by good reason.
I heard it first from you, proudly saying it without fancy half-truths;
uncertainty is gone in your arms—troubles shatter where you love blooms.
Still, I would rather write you billions of stanzas than say the cliché;
some moments and memories can be forgotten, but my words will stay.
To the queen who raised a poet, poems are the only gift I can give
for all the golden presents—heart, mind... life, from your love, that I received.
