("So go ahead and unpack."
I ushered them in and showed them the bedrooms.
Klaus and I had the main one, which also had a bathroom.)

Hailey pov:

It was morning.
I really enjoyed last night.

Me Rebekah and Amy went to buy supplies.
Devina stayed at the cottage and helped our masters with chopping wood and heating.
I was proud of myself for coming up with this trip.

We were walking with the girls next to each other when something occurred to me.
We went for about 20 minutes and I didn't feel like it anymore.
"Hey! How about we use vampire speed instead of this long walking?"
"Honey, you probably forgot, but I'm human."
Amy raised her hand to show that she was here.
I stopped and indicated with my finger for her to come closer to me.
"Hold on tight and it's going to be a fast ride."
She looked at me hesitantly, but finally grabbed me.

In seconds we were in downtown Chicago.
"So what would you like Amy?"
"I honestly don't know, but why do we even go shopping for you. After all, you're vampires, you don't eat human food."
"That's true, but we won't kill people in front of your innocent eyes."

Amy had been dating Elijah for over a year and knew everything about us, she was like a member of the family, but she still hadn't seen anyone feeding on people, which surprised me.
When I was two years old, I saw how Klaus and Kol kill two women, I even have a photo on the shelf in my room where Rebekah is holding me in her arms and she is still covered in blood, and Elijah, Kol and Klaus have blood stained clothes.

"Bex, there's almost no one in the store, do you think I could feed myself with that saleswoman? She looks like she doesn't want to live anymore."
I grinned sarcastically and gave Bex puppy dog eyes.

"Okay, but I'll keep an eye on you, and you, Amy, make sure no one enters the store until we're done."

Amy nodded and Rebekah and I went to the store.

After finishing feeding, we returned with full bags to the lake house.

"Hey guys, we're back"
I called them from downstairs.
When no one answered, I decided to unload the shopping and cook us something for lunch.

I was stirring the tomato sauce when I heard footsteps approaching behind me.
Someone's big arms hugged me from behind and I knew it was my beloved fiancé.

"I missed you love." He said and kissed my cheek.
"Don't exaggerate Klaus, we weren't even an hour away."
"But that's a long time."
"You're like a child, you know that?"
"Maybe, but realize that I will be your child now. Forever."
I rolled my eyes at him and laughed.
"You are right."
"There it is again, I'm always right love."
"God leave it alone."
"You started it."
He raised his hands in surrender.
I turned to face him and wrapped my arms around his neck.
He put his hands on my waist and hugged me too.

"I'm glad we went here. We have two weeks of fun ahead of us."
"And a fight. As I know our family, we're bound to fight."

"I love you."
"Me too my baby girl."

Kol and Devina entered the room.
"What's burning here?"
Kol frowned.
"Dammit, I forgot to mix it up, it's your fault Nik, you were distracting me."
"You can't blame me for that, love."
Kol laughed heartily.

"Come on Hailey, I'll help you finish cooking, and you two set the table, it's lunch in a minute."
She pointed at the two of them.

"Okay mom."
"Keep this in bed."

"My goodness, this is excellent."
"He's right darling, it's great considering it was just recently burned."
"Thank you guys."

"Well, what are our plans for tonight? It's slowly getting dark. We might as well call this dinner."
"How about we play never have I ever."
"That's a great idea Bex. We have to play it, everyone at the lodge is playing it."
