"Tin! Wake up!" Fuck, my head hurts! I slowly got up while my hands are on my temple massaging it. "I thought you won't drink last night? hmmm.. what happened?" I saw Lian crossed her arms in front of me.

I thought so.

"What time is it?" I asked, still sleepy.
I groped my phone beside me to look what time it is already. Shit, i'm late!

I immediately got off from bed and went to the bathroom. I didn't even bother to wash my hair because it's already 7:30 and i have to go at work at 8.

"Eat this before you go." Lian rolled her eyes at me before she got back to bed. She's my step-sister and even though we're not fully-blood related, i treat her as my closest family remember.

She's been with me since mom and my step-dad died in a car accident, right after we graduated from high school. She looks maybe intimidating and rude, but i swear! She's the best sister you'll ever had.

She even sacrificed her future for me.
She stopped studying and started working for me, to get where i am today. We're in the same age, and they all said we look beautiful in different ways.

"Lian, i'll get going! Lock the doors bye!" I shouted and went outside. I opened my car and drove fast to work.

I am Engr. Martine Leigh Fernandez, 30 years old, a Chief Engineer in one of the most prestigious Engineering firm in our city.

"I'm so nervous! Some Junior Engineers said that the Chief Officer is so strict here. They said that when she reached her office's floor, automatic everyone will shut their mouth!" A girl with a blue-dye hair said to her friend standing beside her.

I laughed in my mind. They maybe don't know that the one they're talking about is also here in the elevator, behind them.

Silly me just can't let go of this situation so i decided to do something to satisfy my morning trip.

"Hey!" I tried to get their attention. "Are you both new here?" I smiled, but i was offended when they looked at me like i am a mere wanted criminal.

I just know they'll feel fucked up when they knew i'm the one they're talking about. I really want to tease them a bit.

They just nod and continued talking to each other. I was really offended by their attitude but then i have to calm myself. Martine, remember.. all good things! all good things!

When the elevator stopped at the highest floor of the building, i smirked. "Omg! We're here!" I heard the excitement in their voice.

They walked off the elevator, and i'm behind them. They're clueless why everyone seemed so tense and quiet. "Hey, hey!" They called me in a small voice.

I just raised my brows and look at them. "Hmm?" They are about to say something when two of the employees pulled them out of my way. I saw the employee whispered something to them. "What?!" Their gasps and the look made me laugh. I winked at them before i went straight into my office, laughing.

"Why are you laughing? Is anything good happened early in the morning?" My 2 in 1, friend and Secretary, Jian welcomed me.

"The new recruits hahahaha!" I still can't stop myself from laughing. "Stop it, you look idiot." Jian said before leaving me in the office. If she's just weren't my friend, i definitely fired her already. Just kidding! Even though she has an attitude like that, i can't afford to lose her, she's the best!

"Miss Fernandez, here are the resumés of the new 4 Civil Engineers." Jian came back and handed those papers to me.

"Hmm.. Let me see.."
What the fuck?! I almost threw the papers. "Am i seeing this right? Tyrese... Reign.. Valdez?!" Jian laughs at me. "Why? Are you shock that your ex will be now working under you?" I know she's teasing me.

"Of course i am." I am guilty.
Who wouldn't be right? Your ex working under your surveillance, that means... I'll see him every single fucking day. Ahhhhh! I screamed in my mind. I can't believe this is happening!

"Chill Tin, you're being so obvious.." Jian pursed her lips. "Obvious what?" I rolled my eyes. "That you still love him.." My brows furrowed. Yes, she's right.. But, is that my fault? I tried a hundred times, but i always failed. I guess moving on is not for me. Ughhh! Why would i be bother by him, right? Inhale, exhale, Martine. Be professional, be professional!

"Love, my ass." I walked out and decided to go to the coffee shop on the ground floor.

Thinking about the possible things may happen when he started working here is the only thing running in my mind right now. "Aishhh.." I shook my head like a fool while walking. When i noticed everybody's looking at me like a crazy woman, i covered my face in shame and walked faster.

"Tyrese?" The barista called.
Since all i think of now is him, i didn't even notice that i went to the front desk and claimed the drink. I just realized it when it's almost empty. "Oh My God!" I stood up in surprise.

"Miss? The barista said-" A man walked beside me and talked. It shivers up my spine. Ty... Tyrese????
Both of our eyes widen. "Martine?" That's the moment i knew, i fucked up.

"The barista said you took my drink... Oh.. right, that.." He saw the almost empty cup coffee. For pete sake!! Is it his first day here?

"You can take mine. I'm sorry for taking yours.... I.... I was.." I stutter, i didn't know what excuse i should use. "I just.... misheard it.. right, misheard it" I looked down and bit my bottom lip. What kind of excuse is that Martine? I just want the ground to eat me at that moment.

Luckily, someone called him.
I immediately ran out of the cafe and went straight to the elevator. I still can't believe that shit happened. I was so ashamed. The elevator were already closing when a hand showed up from outside. It opened again, revealing Tyrese.

WHAT? TYRESE?

He smiled when our eyes met. He entered the elevator smirking as if he's teasing me about what happened. "Are you okay? You're so red."

Shit.
