"Engr., wake up we're here." I slowly opened my eyes and saw Jian looking at me. "Oh shit, did i sleep for too long?" She handed me my phone, i immediately looked at myself on the screen to find out that my face is already a mess.
But wait... Whose blanket is this?
I scrunched my forehead and looked at Jian.
"It's his'.." Her gaze switched to Tyrese who's standing now outside the van with the others. "Oh..." I was speechless.
"We'll stay in this rented house for tonight, and tomorrow.. we'll visit the location site. We have rented this instead of booking a hotel because we have to get to know each other first. We have to lighten up the atmosphere for us to work effectively tomorrow. I hope we're all clear!" The Del Real's head Engineer told us.
After we entered the house, everyone immediately went to their rooms. We're by pair in a room and i'm with Jian. "Hey.. i'll just go take a bath." I opened my luggage and picked up the pajamas i'll wear tonight.
"Tin, hurry up. They're all waiting for us downstairs." Jian knocked. It's been 45 minutes since i'm in the bathroom, it's just that.. it really takes a while when i'm taking a bath, i have too many steps in my night time routine haha!
The skies roared as the rain outside continue to pour more and more. "Should we play a game?" One of the Del Real's Architects suggests. I saw Cyrene smirking at Tyrese. We're just on the floor in circle, and Tyrese is sitting in front of me.
"Truth or dare.." Everyone looked at Cyrene as she spoke. My heart began to thrum faster when the bottle started spinning, my hands became sweaty when the bottle started to slow down.
"Ops! What a nice start! Tyrese and Martine!" My heart sank when the mouth of the bottle stopped at my direction. I AM SCREWED! I looked at Tyrese straight in the eyes while he was having a playful smile.
At the other side, i can see Cyrene's killer eyes and her brows raising at me. "Tin, truth or dare?" I bit my bottom lip.
"Truth." I shortly said. A moment of silence for all of us.
"Did you really already forgive me?"
Everyone was quite shock, most of them was not really aware of our past, that's why.
"But.." I was about to nag him about his question when he interrupted me. "Just yes or no." My heart started beating fast again, i'm lost of words. "Where are you going?" I was startled when Cyrene's friend shouted at Cyrene who just left the room without any words.
Everyone murmured but immediately stopped when Tyrese started speaking again. "So what's your answer, Engr. Fernandez?" I felt butterflies in my stomach when i heard him calling me that. He was the reason why i became one, after all.
I clenched my fist as i slowly took a deep breath. I was about to answer him when the skies roared again and the room turns pitch black. The girls screamed in fear. I was about to stand up when someone in front of me held my hand and helped me get to my feet. I thought it was just Jian but when other's phone's flashlight touched the face of the person who helped me, i realized it was Tyrese.
"Thanks." I immediately took my hand away from him. "Do you need anything? I can help.." His deep voice brings shiver to my spine.
"No, thank you." Then i left him.
"Still can't find it?" Jian asked as we're both busy looking for the phone, it's been an hour already. I took a deep breath as i try to calm myself with the situation i'm in. I was about to continue looking when i heard a loud noise upstairs.
"What's that? Could it be a...." Jian was frozen to her place and started to cling into me. "Seriously?" I looked at her in disbelief. "Hehe" She just smirked and we started walking towards the stairs.
When we're about to reach the half of it, her stomach aches. "Fuck. I need to go to the bathroom." Without even looking back at me she hurriedly walked down with her hands on his stomach. "Tin, wait for me here." I giggled.
I decided to just wait for her downstairs but when i was about to go down i heard a shout– and for i know, it's definitely Tyrese..
I took a deep breathe before i continued walking upstairs silently. I followed Tyrese's voice and it headed me to his room. The door was already half-opened...
"I love you, i still love you..." Cyrene's hands start to cupped his face and kissed him. What a sight! I felt something sharp stabbed my heart repeatedly. I cannot explain this feeling, but one thing i know for sure.. I regret being here, in this situation. AGAIN.
I picked myself up and decided to just leave them alone. I don't want to ruin their moment and i wanted to leave them quietly but for fuck sake! Deity's not on me tonight. As i was about to walk away, my hands accidentally bumped the vase outside the room and that immediately broke. In panic, i started running like crazy but it's too late.
"Tin?" My heart jumped. I bit my lip and took a deep breathe before facing him. "What are you doing here?" Cyrene looking at me annoyed. "Ah... I was just looking for something. Sorry for disturbing the both of you... Excuse me." I faked a smile.
I turned my back and started walking. I can't deny that what i witnessed affects me. Maybe after all, i still haven't moved on.
"Wait Tin.." He snatched my arms and turn me around. I'm now facing him again. "It's not what it looks like.. i swear." I can see the frustration in his eyes. He's pleading.
His stares alone can make my heart soft, but that's not how it works now. Everything's change, i learned a lot of lessons. If i let him enter my world now, it's game over. Then what? He'll hurt me again?
Forcing myself, i picked myself up before it's too late. "Let go." I looked up at him coldly.
