I couldn't look back, whatever that thing was, it wasn't human. They may look like a large male adult, but his eyes pupil and irises were way to small, talon like claws were jutting out of his nails and the saliva dripping from his shark teeth mouth. They were most definitely a creature, no, he was a beast.

"You're not getting away this time," roared out in a voice way too deep for the human octaves to create. Wait, what did they mean by again, are they mistaking me for someone else or do they just mean us humans in general. It has to be the latter because I have never seen this monster in my entire life nor even heard of one remotely like this.

Frantically I entered coordinates on the panel strapped to my arm while slamming the emergency button. A large crash sounded behind me along with more breaking stones. I can only guess they jumped through the floor or broke through a wall, but that information only created more panic within me. They were getting closer, and I was running out of time.

A horrific cry shouted from behind me, tears were running down from my face at this point as I pleaded with my device to work and teleport me far away from this beast.

"Come on, come on," I repeated frantically. Large stomps behind me were quickly getting louder and against my better judgement, I turned and looked over my shoulder. The beast had long shaggy brown hair that flopped wildly with his speed. His jacket was ripped which was new because it wasn't like that before, it seemed to be his muscles had begun to bulge into a tremendous size. His black talon like fingernails dug into the ground, almost creating a 4 ft hole when they brought their claws back up.

The face was mostly obscured but a deep red was illuminated from behind his mop of hair. Terror continued to grow like a forest fire, and I wanted to drop on the spot. There was at least 300 metres of distance between us but as I kept looking back, the distance shortened. By the second he skipped over 50 metres. Fear started to consume, and I screamed at the top of my lungs as the monster shot like a bullet at me.

They roared again, the power of it would put lions to shame. My lungs flared from my high-pitched scream, but I didn't care as I watched my death approach me like a car. A claw was raised above their head as they pounced like a large cat. I was motionless as he begun to swipe down at me.

Then, when I could see death's hands skeletal hands start to grip my face. A blue bubble encased around me and within a blink of an eye, I was gone, far away from whatever that thing was.
