The devil is... A child?

"Kill all the experiments immediately!" The speakers said while the alarms where going off.

"Shit-" Shadow muttered running to the closest cell he could find.

Shutting the door immediately he realized he just put himself in a room with a random experiment-

Shadow looked at the other side of the room.A little boy crying in the corner terrified.
Shadow knew things in the lab had changed since he escaped but he didn't know they were just torturing subjects.
That might be why his mother figure at the time help him escape...

"Hey kid-" Shadow said trying to calm the child down.

He failed

The kid started shaking violently even tried hitting him in self defense.
Shadow knew he couldn't just leave the kid. Knowing the labs rules they will kill the poor kid after any break ins.

Suddenly he looked over and saw the kid had wings and many more features he definitely didn't see before.
The kid was still sobbing but a little more quietly.

Shadow has seen many of incidents like this.One of his "friends" pulled the same tactics in self defense. Except she could shape-shift into different animals and now he's dealing with a demon like creature.

"Listen kid I'm not here to hurt you-" Shadow calmly said. He's not the best at calming people down.He wished Cam was here but he stayed outside to try and map where Shadow was going.

The kid seemed to have calmed down So Shadow carefully grabbed the clipboard having his information.He didn't have time to read it then but he can look over it with Cam later.

"Listen we need to get you out of here-" Shadow attempted to explain.The kid had calmed down and was back to his normal self.

He gently held his hand out.The kid grabbed it.

Shadoe led the kid out of the room hoping he wouldn't have to deal with the guards.

"HEY!"

Shadow sighed and ran for the exit with the kid following along.
Shadow broke through the glass running to the meeting spot where Cam and Esmerelda where.

"Oh wow you actually got someone" Esmerelda said sounding surprised.
"SHADOW THE KID IS BLEEDING!"
Shadow looked over. He may or may have not forgotten people can get hurt by glass.

He had a few glass shards in his legs and arms but the kid didn't seem to mind.He was more worried about being outside it seemed like.

"Sorry-" Shadow replied

He was 90% sure Cam was about to slap him.
He did.
After a chuckle from Esmerelda. The group got out of there knowing the guards would probably find them.
