Tw- Mentions of death and Severing Limbs.

Lily was never one to grieve.
When some distant friend of hers died due to reasons she can't even remember anymore she just felt nothing. Whenever she asked her parents they explained to her that maybe She just didn't have much empathy. And it wasn't her fault.

Her parents where relatively young. Lily knew that before she could understand what the age limit was for being considered "young". Whenever the topic randomly gets asked "How old are your parents?" Lily casually mentions there around 18-19. But she would just get looks. She noticed her parents getting judged by other parents. Sometimes people would ask if she was doing alright at home. And nothing ever was wrong. Her parents always cared for her and her feelings. She had food, clothes, and shelter. Lily never saw anything wrong.

The first time Lily felt grief was when her mother died. She knew how she died. By the point she was old enough to understand if she told anyone about it. Nobody would believe her. She could never look at her father the same way again.

The next few months in Lilys life was probably the worst time in her life. Grief being a concept she never could understand a few months ago had been suddenly suffocating her. Leading her to beg to be let go of.

Eventually Lily got sick of everything. Got sick of the suffocating feeling of grief everyday. Everyone around her being happy while she suffered. At some point her mentality was so warped. She didn't care if she took a few lives to get what she wanted.

_

Everything was wrong.
The father that she grew to be vengeful at. Was an innocent man. Not even her actual father. Her real father having manipulated her. He had gained her trust just to break it down again.
Lily stared at the ripped up notebook on the floor.
She fell to her knees and started sobbing. How could she have been such an idiot?! Lily thought back to all the times Shadow and Cam gave each other uncomfortable looks whenever her mothers death was brought up. She remembered the betrayed look on Cams face when she finally confronted him about her murder. So many signs and yet she saw none of them.
The incident that started all her grief. All of the harm she had done to other people.
Was a lie.
She heard a knock at the door.
Lily quickly got up. If it was Shadow she would beat the shit out of him for her "Mothers" sake.
She wiped her eyes and opened the door.
It was Cameron.
The only father figure she had known for years. The man she had grown to despise for years. Proven to be innocent.
He had his eye patch off so Lily could clearly see the robot part of his face that he hid.
Shadow had briefly mentioned before that he was in a lab with Cam. He was actually the one who told her in the first place. Lily obviously realizes now that there was definitely more to the story.
"Hey Hon.." Cam said in a worried voice.
Lily can't remember the last time he called her that.
"Hi." Was the only words she could get out at the moment.
"You should really sit down.. You're still healing." Cam said leading her to the bed. Lily had been so focused on what's been happening for the past few hours she completely forgot she literally chopped off her arm two days ago.
"Here I'll go get more bandages." Cam said "Stay here." Cam said as he turned to leave the room. She never did it out of intent to harm herself. Well maybe it was a little. Is it a crime to admit it? She was a dangerous person. She needed to be punished one way or another. How else was she supposed to get rid of it. In everyone else it spread. It was only going to get worse. Maybe if she just ha-
"Here." Before she knew it Cam was back changing the bandages on her arm. Once he was done he sat next to her on the bed. They both sat there for a few minutes in silence. "I believe a owe you an apology." Cam said in a regretful tone. Lily seem stunned for a second. "For what?" Lily asked quietly.
"I should have mentioned things about me and Shadow way sooner. Maybe if I did you wouldn't have taken this so hard." Lily made eye contact with Cam. He was framed for murdering his own lover and then apologizes for not saying anything. He knew damn well Lily wouldn't believe him at the time. It was probably why he never said anything. And him Cameron, her father apologizes.

Lily started to sob.
"Hey..Hey.." Cam pulled her into a hug.
"I'm so sorry.." She said burying her face into his shirt.
"I know you are."
