You gazed in Diluc's tall mirror at your forehead. Despite the incident with the Treasure Hoarders being almost a week ago now, you still had a bruise on your forehead. It wasn't raised anymore, and had faded from bright purple to a dull blue and green-ish color. You grimaced and poked it gently to see if it still hurt.
"Ouch!" you yelped. It did.
"Stop touching it," Diluc told you as he pulled more clothes out of his closet. You narrowed your eyes at him.
"Then how am I supposed to know if it hurts or not?" He rolled his eyes at you then walked over to the open suitcase on his bed.
"Until it's gone, it will probably hurt," he stated matter of factly and shoved the clothes, unfolded, with the hangers still attached into one side of the case.
"Stop," you commanded and walked over to his bed, shooing him away. He put his hands up defensively and sat down on the bed next to the case while you removed everything and started folding.
Diluc watched you intently. Even though you were just folding clothes, you worked so gracefully, just as in everything you did. Each movement of your hand was precise and intentional. He gazed at your fingers as they smoothed the fabric of his clothes and moved his gaze to travel up your arm to your face. Every detail of your face was perfect. Your eyes, your jawline, your nose, your lips...
He allowed his eyes to rest for a moment on your lips. They were quirked into a light smile as you focused on the task at hand. He wondered what they would feel like on his skin. He wanted to reach out and touch them. He wondered what they would feel like pressed against his. He wanted to lean forward and-
"Teyvat to Diluc!" you interrupted his daydreaming, waving a hand in front of his face. He blushed deeply, not realizing you had already finished packing his suitcase in the time he had spent fantasizing about you. "Is there anything else you need to put in here?" He shook his head and you zipped his suitcase up.
"We're going to be late," Diluc mumbled, clearing his throat as you moved to his desk to collect his briefcase, which you had packed earlier.
"Well I've been packed since yesterday, so don't blame me," you shot back, laughing a bit. Diluc laid back on his bed and sighed.
"Well you made me pack by myself so I will blame you," he replied, eyes closed as he relaxed. You slapped the briefcase on his chest and leaned over him a bit.
"Blame me if you want, but I'm not the one trying to take a nap when we should have left already," you threatened jokingly. Diluc sat up halfway, moving his face closer to yours. A shade of pink dusted your face.
"You're my assistant," he replied quietly, his breath tickling your warm cheeks, "all my misgivings are your fault." His sarcasm produced a smirk on your face.
"In that case..." you responded in a low voice. You grabbed his collar and pulled him in closer. "Get. Up." The sternness in your voice caused Diluc's face to light up like a fire and he stood up quickly, trying to avoid you seeing him pull himself together.
"Let's go," you said cheerily, grabbing his suitcase and briefcase and walking out the door. Diluc quickly followed behind you and snatched his belongings from your hands, refusing to let you carry them.
"Are you finally leaving?" Elzer asked as you both descended the stairs. He and Adelinde left the entrance desk and met you at the door.
"Yes," you replied, picking up your suitcase that you had stored at the exit earlier, "as long as there's not anything else you need from me." They both shook their heads. You nodded and turned towards the door, which Diluc opened for you. Suddenly, you snapped back to the two.
