I started to run. The breeze was whistling through the air, the grass scraping against my knees as I ran past all those who were in front of me.
"Great Job Frawd!" shouted Ms.Pebble.
I didn't respond. Winning races was usually easy for me, because I was so short. How short you say? Well... 3 foot 2 is a pretty good assumption. Well, in grade 5 you don't usually hit your growth spurt, so I didn't have anything to worry about.
"Hey, that was pretty noice, dude"
I looked around to see who said it. Of course, it was Jasper. Who was jasper? Well, this guy was the hunk of our school. He knew everyone around, yet no one liked him. You'd think this guy would be shot down from being a hunk, but he just kept on trying like a broke heroin addict grasping for a few more needles. The kid's retarded.
"Shut up jasper"
"Yo, I wouldn't be talking to me like that if I were you....and y-you were..uh... me . and- well, whatever. Where was I. Um, yeah GO FUCK YOURSELF!"
It seemed like his brain had lost even more brain cells than the 3 he was born with. I didn't say anything. It didn't feel right. It was like beating up a quadriplegic kid with down syndrome at his mother's funeral while shoving her amputated head onto his unmovable legs. It just felt morally wrong.
"Are you listening to me... MIDGET??"
He had just called me a midget. I was not a midget. That's not even the politically correct term for midget. Well, this midget was going to show him hell. This midget was going to stomp him until shit burst out his mouth .
I swung my fist at his face, but he took the hit like it was nothing.
"Dude, you're like the same height as a toddler, you know you can't fight."
I look back. Everyone's looking at me, waiting for the midget to fight a retard. It was like a mental hospital's UFC match. I knew I couldn't do anything. So I ended the fight and walk away. A midget's life is a midget's life, and until the day I get my growth spurt, the midget life will stay with me.
