Serenity woke up from her dreamless sleep. She was in an unfamiliar room, and there was a little fire burning in the fireplace. "Where... where am I?" Serenity mumbled to herself.
"Oh my gosh. Hi, " A familiar voice said. Serenity turned her head and saw the boy who had rescued her earlier. What was his name? Right - Carter.
"How long have I been asleep?" Serenity asked.
"About three days," Carter replied. "You were injured pretty badly, are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Serenity muttered, and rilled if the car rhat she was on. "Is this your house?"
"Um, it's more of a cottage, but yeah. Home of the Renison family," Carter said. He stuffed his hands in his pockets. He was wearing a ratty shirt and faded overalls. Just then, Serenity fully took in who she was looking at. Carter had pale blond hair, and light brown eyes that caught your attention right away. He's pretty cute, Serenity thought to herself. Then she kicked herself and blushed. Serenity, now is NOT the time for that! She scolded herself.
"So your mom cured me, right? Where is she?"
"She's not home. She's picking juniper berries down near the lake."
"Oh."
"Yep."
"..."
"So what's your story? You were laying out in the middle of Nowhere Woods and were about to bleed to death."
"Nowhere Woods?" Serenity smirked.
"Er, yeah." Carter blushed. "That's what I call it."
"Well, my story is kind of long..."
"That's okay, I have all of the time un the world."
So she told him everything.
