Meeting you

I am a hourglass.

When i was younger the sand was full of sunshine and life but now the sand is about to settle, time's running out and the sand is full of sadness . I wanted to be a pianist but my dream was devoured by a wolf. Let me explain .

It all started when i was 15. I had taken part in a talent show and was certain that i was going to win.And I would have if i didnt pass out from a nose bleed in middle of the show . I had Lupus. Systematic lupus erythematosus to be more specific. After that it was just hospital visits and sympathy .In school no would talk to me . I was the "sick girl" in school .

Until one day the new boy sat next to me in lunch . Yeah , you read that right , Josh Collins was sitting next to lil' ol' Judith . I immediately thought three things -
1st He wanted to make fun of me.
2nd He wanted to say sorry and give me sympathy .
3rd Maybe .Just maybe , he wanted to be my friend .

And guess what ? It was the third thing . You actully wanted to be my friend Josh . You didn't ask me about my lupus or say sorry . You talked to me like evrything was fine . That was all it took for me to decide that you were gonna be my ride or die. I knew that you knew about my lupus cause thats the first thing that you get to know as soon as you enter the HORIZON HIGH SCHOOL. A girl named Judith is sick. But you just wanted to talk about normal stuff and asked me to show you
around the school and just like any girl in her right mind would've done I said yes.

That day changed my whole life or what was left of it anyway . You Josh , you changed my whole life . You never know what someone is going through . You decided to take some time out of your day and talked to a girl . Sosimple , right? But those few hours that i got to spend with you were just the start of how amazing my life was going to be from that day on .

That day was the first time in those horrible years when I saw some hope in my life . When I came home , as usual my mom asked me how my day was and as soon as she asked that I screamed with joy that ''IMADEANEWFRIEND!!!!!'' my mom couldnt understand a thing .

" You made a what?"
"A friend"
"Really"
"Yeah"
"Well that's great sweety . What's her name ?"
" His name is Josh ."
" His huh"

She said , lifting an eyebrow .

"It's not like that mom , and even if it was it shouldn't concern you . I'm seventeen now ."
"Ohhkk I'm just saying."

That night i realised that maybe I wanted it to be like that in the future .
Just you and me.
Just Josh and Judith.
