Miracle

Twinkling stars

The stars look beautiful tonight.

But not as beautiful as that night when you took me stargazing . You told me that you wanted to be an astronomer when you grew up . If you go past the old creek and walk half a mile , you will discover a mound . People think that's all there is and walk past it , but they don't know that if they lift the vines there is a small hole enough to fit one person . If you go through the hole , in a minute you will be one the other side of the forest that is hidden behind old and thick trees . I ,like most people thought there was nothing there , but you , Josh said that you wanted to show me something .

So , on the night of 14 November at 9.00 p.m. , I met you at the creek . You had a basket , which I later found , was filled with delicious food made by your mom , who used to be a chef. Other than that you had a mini telescope with you . When you took me past the mound , I was amazed and dumbfounded . How could a boy , who has only lived here for 5 months find this , when a girl who had lived here all her life couldn't find it , despite of coming here every week.

I like to think that , that night was one of the most important nights in your life . Cause not only you had opened up to me about your past but we also shared our first kiss .

Your dad left you and your mom when you were six . Your mom was struggling to provide you with an education . Some nights she had to sleep on an empty stomach just so that she could make sure that her son didn't feel like he was any different than any of the other children .

But that all changed when Jared arrived in her life . He helped her take care of you and supported her whether it be emotionally or financially . After that Jared used to stay over at your place almost every night . And you were so excited when a year ago your mom told you that she had decided to marry Jared .

That was about your mother and her life . But what about you Josh ? Why didn't you tell your mom about what was happening with you in school? I understand that you didn't want to burden on your mom cause she was stressed enough already and you didn't want to add to it. But you could've told her after Jared came into he life 2 years ago . You should've told them that you were being bullied in school , that the children would make fun of you for not having a dad and not being rich . You should've told them that the kids would punch you and kick you . That they cut you with a knife . That they did horrible things to you that I don't even want to repeat .

I was crying before you even finished the story . I remember the way you hugged me . I remember that it almost hurt , but in a good way - as if you wanted to me to sink into you , keep me inside you . No one else ever had held me so tightly , so close. And then I felt it . You're lips on mine . It wasn't that long , but the memory would last forever . It was the first time for the both of us . Still I can remember your heartbeat and my shivering . I stopped breathing but for the first time I didn't need to , cause it was you . I would gladly stop breathing if you wanted me too Josh . For a moment all stopped when i felt your lips on mine . It was like souls in heaven promising I'm yours and you'll be mine.

That night we slept under the stars .
