Warmth

It feels like there is a hand reaching out for him, though Helen didn't believe it at first, before he opened his eyes and puked out the water in his lungs.

He was warm. . .

There he saw a handsomely beautiful boy, he choked out before he could even speak, that caught the boy's attention.

“Are you okay?!” he asked me as he checked him, grabbed his face and look at him straight in the eyes ─ He fell for those (e/c) orbs; eyes full of worry for him.

“I─... Fine..” He choked out some few words, luckily he understood what he have meant.

“I'll help you get to a nearby stations that can help you get home.” With a small smile, that hides worries and anxiousness inside ─ to his surprise, someone actually care for him; except his mom and dad, that make him grew up in the wrong way.

Without a single doubt, Helen took his hand and followed him to the station as he shivers from the cold.

M/n lend him his sweater and wore his plain white shirt, Helen hesitated before wearing it and asked for another confirmation about his sweater.

“It's alright, I have plenty of them in back at my house!” M/n says with a smile as he held onto the boy's hand and felt Helen tighten his grip at M/n's warm hand.

It's like. . . bathing in a sun, he's warm.

M/n and Helen walked for a long day, M/n thought for a second as he walks; with Helen, slightly behind him. They haven't introduce to each other.

“This is really awkward, but I apologize for not introducing myself to you earlier. . . !” M/n says as he apologized to the boy, Helen was yet again surprised at the slightly older boy, infront of him.

He apologizes. . . ?

Just for that?

“It's alright. . .” He mutters as he looks down in a surprise, M/n slightly relaxes and his anxiousness slowly disappearing.

“I'm M/n L/n, I am 12 years old and I just moved in yesterday with my Mom and two younger siblings!” Helen bit his bottom lip, nodding.

His voice is very calming. . .

“And you?” He asked as his head slightly tilted to the left with a smile on his face displayed.

“I─ I'm Helen Otis.” His lips quivered, making M/n hums in reply understanding that he has some trust issues.

“Well then, Helen do you want to get some refreshments with me?” M/n asks making Helen look away for a second, before nodding.

“Let's go then!” Helen stared at his face as he admires the older boy's (e/c), he couldn't help but always get lost by staring at them ─ couldn't understand why he stares at those orbs very much.

After they arrive at a convenience store with Helen, they both look around for some refreshments at the back.

“Pick whichever you want, Helen ─ I'll be looking over there.” M/n says as he points at the next six blocks at the refrigerator with a small smile with a concern look; Helen only nods in understanding.

After some time, they both bought what drinks they both want and M/n paid for it and didn't want Helen to pay him back.

“I'll get you back home safe Helen, I promise!” M/n says with determination on his face, as he never breaks his promises to anyone and always keeps them.
