Luke's POV

I walk into my bedroom feeling a cold wave hit my entire body, not making me cringe.

I had a weird feeling but just shrugged it off... I looked at my watch it was 5:02.

My father walked in getting my attention

"Breakfast is ready," he said feeling the quiet room

"I'll be over there in five minutes," I said in a cold tone

"Are you even going to your first day of school Luke? You don't sound well..." my father stood next to me waiting for an answer.

"N..no.." I said hesitating

"Okay...if you stay remember to take the trash out!"

"Alright..." I said sadly

I lock the doors as father leaves leaving only myself. I sigh and walk downstairs to the Kitchen seeing it was pouring rain outside.

I make a disgusted face as I saw the frozen blood bags sitting on the glossy counter, I decided to take the trash out using my fast speed so I wouldn't get wet as much as if I walked outside. About an hour or two the sun had gotten up hitting my face and causing my face to sparkle, I quickly closed the curtains to the living room making it dark again. I head to my bedroom to do the schoolwork I'm going to miss today and other important papers I have to fill out for my father. As soon as I walked into my room I sat on my comfy chair and put on my glasses getting ready to work. Later as time passed I decided to take a walk with my dog ​​since it had stopped raining a while ago

I held my dog ​​"Mocha!" I shouted as he ran away. I quickly sped up with him and walked with him outside

Later it started to sprinkle so I carried Mocha inside the house hearing my dad's car pull up. I put Mocha down and opened the door to see my father looking stressed so I grabbed his stuff and helped him to his bedroom. enter inside the house coming home from work, Mocha jumped on Daniel and Ben as they stepped foot inside the house giving them kisses. I smiled and hugged my adopted brothers so glad I have them "wheres dad Luke?" I heard Ben concerned." Father is in his bedroom upstairs, he came home stressed so he might need time right now," I said and walk over to the living room turning on the television with my brothers sitting relaxed on the couch.

Courtney's POV

I drove home after school but then I remembered Joel had told me he wanted to hang out today. I entered the house waiting for Joel to come by, 5 minutes later I heard a knock on the door and got up quickly opening the door to see Joel "Hi!" I said welcoming inside the heartwarming home.

I sat with him in the living room and I brought two water bottles for the both of us and we started talking about Childhood. " I don't know if you remember but when we were younger we used to collect seashells at the beach and write our names and leave them for others to write their names..." Joel said making a flashback of my childhood flash in my mind, widening my eyes to remember that moment I also thought of other things that happened that brought us close... what happened to us...

little moments passed Joel trying to get my attention "Courtney?" he waves his hands in front of my face. "y..yes.." I answered back coming back to reality "Are you Okay?" ..Joel..what..n..never Mind, it's n...not important.." I covered my face in embarrassment, my hair covering my face. Joel puts a piece of hair behind my ear and cresses my cheekbone, " are you sure?" I nodded my head yes " Oh I have something to show you my mother gave it to gave me and I wanted you to keep it..." I look up at him and he handed me a picture of two jr High students smiling and doing poses in the polaroid picture. I smiled and hugged Joel and he smiled.
