(A familiar sight. Jaq sits on the ledge alone)
J: Hey Gramps. I'm not doin' too good today. I'm back aren't I? Why else would I be up here alone? Wish I'da called sooner. Met some new friends since our last checkup. You've already met one I think. They might've just looked, though. They both seem to prefer to look than do anything. I don't blame them though. It's much harder to blame yourself for doing nothing than doing too little, paradoxically enough. You always knew how impatient I was. Tens of millenia. It's a long time to do nothing, or not much at most. Think I can convince them to put me in a coma for it? Probably not. This probably won't even work. Ah, fuck it-
(Door opens)
?: Oh, sorry.
J: Hi. Don't be. Who are you?
?: I'm Pat. You?
J: Jaq. Why are you up here?
P: Umm... I don't know.
J: I can tell you're lying.
P: I...um...Was gonna...
J: Me too.
P: Really? Why?
J: One of my closest family members died and sent me down a spiral.
P: Well, don't. It'd be a waste of such a pretty person.
J: Pot calling kettle?
P: Oh stop. I'm not that cute.
J: Yeah, you are. Not the best looking I've met, but the competition both are neigh-godly.
P: Thanks, I guess? Can I see?
J: Let me see if I have any clothed photos of them. Maybe they'll just appear from nowhere and save me time.
P: Ha. Exes?
J: Not really? More friends with benefits, I guess. A lot of benefits, actually.
P: They seem fun.
J: Found one! (Shows her a picture of Ami in a maid outfit glaring at Jaq)
P: Oh damn. That's impressive, even for you.
J: Funnily enough, I met them under the same circumstances. Attempt and interruption.
P: Seems whoever's up there either hates or loves you.
J: Haha. Love very much, I can guarantee that.
P: What room are you in?
J: I'll show you. You thirsty?
P: Yeah, but I just had water.
J: Haha. We'll get along perfectly.
(they go to Jaq's apartment)
J: Here we are. (They open the door) Kitchen is to the right, the living room is right here, and the bedroom is down the hall.
P: What about the bathroom?
J: We just go out the window.
P: I thought the stains on my car looked too big to be a bird.
J: It's across from the bedroom.
P: Do you live alone? How do you pay for this?
J: No, but don't worry about noise, they won't care, or might even enjoy it.
P: That's... nice to know, I guess. A little weird.
J: They aren't here right now though.
P: Why don't we just go to my apartment? I'm much more comfortable there.
J: There's nothing more important than being comfortable. Means you can adventure out of your comfort zone more.
P: Come on then. We don't have all day.
