The volley ball smacks against my arms. I stung, but not too bad. I could feel my legs giving away from getting low but I pushed myself through it. The tall skinny white girl with red hair and green eyes from Karlendale high school beat the ball on the the floor forcefully as she got ready to serve the ball. The whistle blew, signaling the girl that it was time to serve the ball. She took the ball tossed it about two feet high and smacked it forcefully. It came hurling my way.
"Got It!" I howled, shuffling my feet the the ball. The ball smacked into my arms popping it into the air.
"Got it." Yasmine called, she set the ball to Emily and she spiked it over.
A girl from the other team dived for the ball slamming her body onto the floor but failing to reach the ball.
Now the score was 24-24
We were in sudden death mode. Now the ball was given to me to serve. Which caused me to get chills down my back. I bounced the ball on the ground in order to calm my self down. When the whistle rang I tossed the ball in the air, hitting it with a grunt. It went flying to the other side of the court. The other team bumped it set it and spiked it over. I dove for the spiked ball popping it back up in the air. My face was hot and sweat was dripping down my face, I was breathing hard. The ball flew to Yasmine, she set the ball, this time not the Emily but to Maria. Maria ran and spiked it slamming it downward. I heard a girl from the other team yell "got-"
When the ball collided with her face, causing her to fall.
Although her teammates were alarmed by the injury Maria couldn't help but smile. We had just won our first volleyball game.
