February 14 20XX

Byleth clapped his hands loudly. An echo bounced off of the walls and entered each individual ear of each student. Everyone's eyes were directed at him. His arms were behind his back. "Good morning class. Unless you live under a rock, you must know. Today is Valentine's Day." There were some cheers but they died off nearly instantly with Byleth's stern glare. "A while ago, the principal asked for anyone willing to toss in some secret gifts to a secret Valentine. I am here to give that out to you all." Byleth brought out a basket full of letters. He reached into it and started calling forward the people to collect their letters. Ness leaned toward Ness.

"This is totally a way to embarrass those who didn't get any," Ness chuckled, Lucas following suit. Lucas began rubbing his hands together, however.

"Y-ya think I got one?" Ness's chuckling stopped as he looked at Lucas. He smiled softly as he put a hand on Lucas's shoulder.

"I'm sure you did, Lucas." Soon after that, Ness's name was called so he went and collected his card. Lucas sat back, looking around at the students. Some people he never expected to get a letter had received one. He just gulped, however, a part of him did smile seeing Porky didn't receive one yet. Had an odd feeling of superiority toward it.

"Lucas." Byleth's voice echoed in Lucas's head. A smile crept onto his face as he began his walk to receive his letter. Looking at it, of course, it didn't say who it was from, it was meant to be a secret. Lucas liked that secrecy. Sitting back in his seat he instantly opened the letter.

-Dear Lucas,

My feelings for you are...odd. I don't know how to describe it. I know I need more time to get to know you better, but these feelings are so hyperactive, they're oftentimes the only thing I can think about when I'm with you. I don't mean to bombard you with so many different words about my feelings. But I'm going to try and move on. But if I can move on from you...I...I hope you can figure me out. I don't think I'll be able to tell you personally.

Your Secret Admirer-

Lucas felt the smile grow wider and a small blush come to his face. "Hey, Lucas, did ya write this?" Lucas looked at Ness to see he was holding up his letter to show that it was a very distinct handwriting. Lucas just sighed.

"Is my handwriting that bad?" Ness looked back at the letter.

"Well, I wouldn't say bad. More like...unique." Lucas just shook his head.

"So yes, it's bad." Ness just laughed as he put the letter down.

"I love what you wrote for me. Although, not sure what Peaches, Eggplants, or Bananas have to do with Valentine's. Is it a Tazmily thing?"

"I asked Ninten what it was about and he mentioned those things. So...Happy Banana day!" Ness turned his gaze to Ninten who was just a blushing mess, must've been from his own letter. He just smiled.

"Course he did." He took the time to look around at the different people, seeing nearly everyone's own reactions to the card. But soon his eyes spot Porky, who was just sitting there. "Heh, that's an equally amazing sight." Lucas turned around to see Porky sitting. Everyone around him has received cards and he got nothing.

"Indeed it is."

"Enough, I've given you far too much time, quite honestly, but let's get back to business. We've got to learn the history of Cupid's arrow and how it can be used as a weapon of mass destruction."

Lunch came around and Lucas just sat in one of the many break areas, this one right outside his class. He just kept reading the note over and over again. Eventually, someone walked right up to him. It was Hilda. "Hey, Lucas, how are ya?" Lucas looked up to see her.
