"Aunt Megara!" I yelled as I ran into my favorite aunt's arms. "How are you darling?" She asked as she smoothed down my brown hair. "I'm doing well, and Hogwarts is starting here in a month." I informed her with a huge smile.
"Ahh, Hogwarts. The good old days!" Aunt Megara was laughing as she walked over to my mum. "Hiyah sis." Mum embraced her little sister. "And how are you Megara?" Mum asked politely. "Evelyn, you're always so formal." Aunt Megara joked and hugged mum again.
"Where's Uncle Steven, Aunt Megara?" I asked straining my neck to see where he was. "He um..." Aunt Megara's eyes looked sad for a second, but immediately changed to happy. " He's not coming. I hope you don't mind your aunt tagging along for the rest of summer?" A small smile spread over her face.
"You're staying!" I asked as I hugged her again. "Only for a bit. I might even see you off to the Hogwarts express." She sent a thankful smile to my mum.
I didn't know what was going on, but I was too happy to ruin the mood. I have to remember to ask later.
"And, seeming how it's your birthday in two days, I've brought you a present!" She squealed excited.
I laughed and took one of her trunks inside.
