We were now scattered around the apartment, Jisung and Chan discussing something with Felix and Jeongin, probably planning out the recording of their respective parts of a song with Hyunwoo listening to their conversations intently.
I was in the living room, not really listening to a conversation Hyunjin, Seungmin and Changbin were having.
I turned to my left, seeing Minho comfortably slumped on the armchair as he texted someone, a slight grin on his face.
He put the phone down, the little, cute and held-back smile still prominent. I couldn't help but smile as well.
He noticed me, immediately fixing up his posture and clearing his throat.
- Thank you, Angèle. - He suddenly spoke.
I tilted my head, confused on what he was thanking me for.
- Thank you for forcing Jisung to talk to me. - He quietly giggled. - It was the kind of closure I needed. - I nodded happily in understanding.
- I'm glad you're doing better. -
- Y-Yeah, I'm feeling very comfortable with the whole situation now, actually. - He scratched the back of his neck. - If one year ago you had told me I could have gotten over him I wouldn't have believed you. -
He laid his back on the armchair, the same faint smile re-appearing on his face. He leaned towards me, whispering so that the others wouldn't hear.
- You know, I started talking to a fellow idol. We're going out next week. - He showcased a wide grin, warming my heart.
I widened my eyes, my mouth falling open as I held back a squeak.
- No way! You need to tell me everything! - I whispered back, probably over-excited.
Whenever there was gossip, I felt at home.
- Well, we still need to go out and properly meet each other, but I think he might be really into me. - He raised his eyebrows, a wave of confidence taking over him.
- I'm so happy for you! -
- I am too. - He was pensive for a while before speaking again. - You're a wonderful person, Angèle. Jisung is very lucky to have you. And you are lucky to have him too. -
This last remark sent shivers down my spine. He was warning me not to waste my chance.
I was already aware of it, but hearing those words from Minho had a different effect. It was as if I truly had become conscious about the fact Jisung was a golden person.
He stood up, coming towards me with a nostalgic smile while I stood up as well, probably as a reflex.
- Treat him well for me, okay? - He engulfed me in a tight hug, inhaling deeply.
I was shocked, but soon hugged back. He smelled like roses, and his body emanated a comforting warmth.
- I will. Thank you, Minho. -
- Why do I always feel like I'm walking in the middle of some important conversation? - Jisung spoke, entering the room and immediately coming towards the two of us.
I giggled, pecking him on the lips and hugging him tightly.
- I was thanking her for being so kind and understanding. - Minho explained, Jisung nodding in return.
The older started walking out of the room, speaking one last time before doing so.
- And I told her to treat you well, but I already know she will. - He winked, I'm not really sure to who, but either way he left both of us speechless for a while.
