I don't know how to make my father understand that iam not at all ready for this marriage. But he is right in his place as protective father that is making me think twice before i take any step.
"Princess , Your majesty needs your presence in the Rajdarbar" i heard a servant of mine reporting to me.
Walking towards the place , with a confused mind, i found the soldiers from some other countries waiting outside.
'Princess monami entering the darbaar paradise ' the announcement is made while i walked slowly towards my father.
"Father why did u call me ,is there anything special " i asked in curious .
"Monami, meet Abhidev , the crown prince of Malwa " said father , and i turned to see a young man in his royal attire of the prince smiling at me from behind.
"Nice to meet you princess, i have heard a lot about your bravery " he said greeting me with a warm smile.
"Its my pleasure to meet u the prince from Malwa " i said in return.
"Well you look more beautiful than i heard " he said slowly without anyone's notice and i felt a little uncomfortable.
Comming out of the thoughts i gave him a faint smile as a part of our manners.
"Monami , i need to talk to you in personal, come with me daughter " Father said and i moved with him to the next door.
"Our kingdome has the threat of enemies from different parts of hindustan. The Mughal empire is expanding its territory day by day. And we rajputs need to be strong enough to face off them " father said.
"I know that father, we will strengthen our force and make sure that our security is tight " i said with confidence .
"The thing is not about our strength dear, we need the support of any great empire with us so that our state is protected from all evil eyes " said him that made me confused.
"So u are saying that we are not strong enough to protect our state from the enemies " i asked in return
"Monami ,don't forget about last time how Mewar has attacked us . I never want it to happen it again " he said while stood silent .
"Your would have heard of the empire of Malwa. The prince offered our country their security and soldiers . I found it as a good sign and i was obligated to accept their offer " he added
"Whattttt !!!! Father are u serious? " i asked in shock
" Monami, its for the wellbeing of our state , and to protect the image of Rajputs " he said that irked me
"What else we need to sacrifice for this offer father ? " i asked little raised
"Daughter, i already told about your marriage. Prince Abhidev likes you and he asked me for your hands. I never said yes to him coz its in your hands daughter. I will never ask you to get married to some one without your consent " he said .
"I guessed it right, so im the deal in between this " i said controlling my tears.
"There is nothing like that daughter. I will not force you to say yes to this alliance. But think before you say no once ,because the bond between Rajgarh and Malwa will make up the life of people in our country . This alliance can make this bond more stronger for the wellbeing of our state and people " father said looking down.
"Continue " i said emotionless
" Monami, its upon your hands. I know u will take a wise decision for your people and your state." He left leaving me in an emotional dilemma.
