Chapter 2 Bruce

When we were kids about 10

"Finders keepers" Rachel yells about an arrow head she found. "Rachel give it here." Bruce yells running after her. "Finders keepers and I
found it." Rachel says running in to the green house. "Good luck getting away with that Rachel." I said running into the green house. "Yeah and you found it in MY garden." Bruce said walking up to her with his hand out. She reluctantly handed it over. Bruce snatches it from her and ran off. Me and Rachel just stand there just shaking are heads.Then we here a scream come from Bruce. I admittedly get scared and concerned for Bruce. Me and Rachel run to the source of the scream.

We find a old water wail that was boarded up that had some broken boards. I run straight to it. "Bruce?" Rachel calls down. I look down to see Bruce

down there laying on the ground. "BRUCE!?" I yell down there.

      "Rachel go get Mr. Wayne I will stay here." I said. "What are you going to do?" She asked. "Rachel just go i am going to clear some space." I said ushering her off. She runs off to go get Mr. Wayne. "Are you okay Bruce?" I asked. There was no answer. Then a bat fly's out startling me. So I fall back wards on the ground. I get up and go to the wail and pull the planks off. " Elizabeth get back so I can get down there." Mr. Wayne said.

  "I am going to climb down there with my spelunking gear." Mr. Wayne said while he tied his rope to the tree trunk. Then he climbed down to Bruce. "Take my hand." Mr. Wayne said holding his hand out to Bruce. Bruce takes his hand, then they climb out.

  We are going up the steps to his mansion. "Bruce why do we fall? So we learn to pick ourselves back up." Mr. Wayne said carrying Bruce to the house

Later that year

"Sweet heart um... I don't know how to explain this. So I am just going to say it. Bruce's parents were killed, and they were killed by a man that was trying to mug him." My mom said. My eye's start to water. They were good people why would anyone want to do that to them. "No." I start to cry. "They were good people." I said crying my eyes out. My mom pulls me into a hug.

    "We have to go see Bruce." I said pulling away from the hug. "No sweet heart he is at the police station." She said coming down to my level. "Yes I do I have to be there with him he is my best friend!" I said crying. She doesn't answer. "If you don't take me I will walk." I said walking to the front door. "I will take you to the police station.

We arrive at the station. "What do you need?" the lady at the front desk asks. "I need to see my friend Bruce." I said trying to hold back my tears. "Sorry honey I can't let you." She said it just made me angry. "He is my BEST FRIEND that lost his parents , he needs me right now so you either let me see him or I will wait for him no matter how long it takes." I said getting my face red. "Okay but your mom has to stay here." She said opening the door.

I walk into the office that Bruce is in. As soon as he see me he starts crying. Then I start crying. I run up to him and take him into a hug. "I am so sorry Bruce. We will get through this together." I said hugging him tighter. "We will." is all he said.
