Chapter 3 The killer gets out

10 Years later

"Have you seen Bruce yet?" Rachel asks me. "No I haven't but I am on my way to his house. You want to come?" I Ask her. "Yeah let me get my stuff. I will meet you at the car." She said. I head to the car.

We arrive at Bruce's mansion. We walk up to the front door and knock. "Ms. Dawes and Ms. Carter it nice to see you. I am helping Brice settle in so if you wait in the kitchen he will be right down." He said letting us in. "Alfred what did I say about being formal?" I ask him. "I know I am just being polite." He said walking us to the kitchen. "He will be down in a minute." He said walking up stairs.

10 minutes later

"Alfred still keeps the condensed milk on the top shelf." Bruce said walking in. "Has he noticed that we can reach it?" Rachel said putting down to book. "How is your mom?" Bruce asks Rachel. "She misses this place." Rachel said. "How's your mom?" He asked me. "Other then her moving to Sterling City I really don't know." I said looking down. "You haven't called her?" He asked. "Yeah I have but she always hangs up on me." I said looking the other way. "I assume you are going to the hearing." Rachel said. "Yeah" Bruce said. "You don't have to go he will get out of jail and you don't need to see that." She said. "Rachel but there is still a chance that he goes back."

"I have to make sure this man stays in prison." Bruce said. "No you don't have to." Rachel said. "This man killed my parents he has to stay in jail or get killed." Bruce said. "No we have a justice system." Rachel said "Well your system is broken." Bruce said. "Are you going Elizabeth?" Bruce asked. "Yeah the Gordon wants me to take notes and put it in the records." I said "What is your job?" Bruce asks. "I find information for Gordon and he find the people or peoples that break the law." I said to him. "So your job is dangerous?" Bruce asks. "Yeah that's why I carry a taser on me." I said.

At the Courthouse

"You're honor there is not a day that I don't regret what I did. I would take everything back of what I did." The killer said. "I understand there is a member of the Wayne family here. Does he have anything to say." The judge said. I look at the killer he stiffens up. Bruce stands and walks out of the courtroom.

After the killer is released I look around to find Bruce. I see him outside standing and waiting for something. I walk up to him."what are you waiting on?" I ask standing next to him. "Just waiting." He said.

Then the killer comes out. A bunch reporters surround him. A female reporter comes running up to him and shoots him. The shot kills him at the spot. Rachel comes running up. "Come on Bruce we don't need to see this." Rachel said. "No I need to see this." Bruce said. Rachel walks off.
