"Well, well, well. If it isn't Sirius Black. Should have known you'd come running."

Snivilous turned his wand towards Sirius, but as he did, I fired a spell at his back. "Petrify Totalas!" Snape's body froze up and he dropped his wand. "Well, I guys that settles it. Have a nice day Snivilous." He patted Snape's head mockingly as he and I strode  off to find Peter and Remus.

"So, thought I needed rescuing, did you?" I looked over  at my smiling best friend. "Nah," he said. "I just couldn't let you have all the fun." He laughed. His laugh was a loud, bark like laugh that could hurt your ears if you weren't used to it. I had missed it. "So, how was summer break?" He asked me. "Oh you know, played Quidditch with James, went to Marlene's a couple of times. The usual."

I felt no need to ask Sirius how his summer was. I knew he was either being yelled at by his parents, or rebelling against them. "Have you made that flying bike yet? Imagine playing Quidditch on that." "Nah, it ain't done yet. Mum wouldn't let me out of the house much. I barley got to send you and James letters."

"Wow mate. Can't believe they are that mad about the Gryffindor think. It's been four years." I hated Sirius's parents with a passion and he knew it. First they basically disowned him for being placed in Gryffindor. Then, they try to cut off his letters to us Marauders. Then, got mad that his best friend is a "blood traitor."

"Well, the letter part might be because my mum thinks you're a blood traitor." He pays me on the arm. "We'll, can't all have great friends." He laughed when I punched his arm.

"Hey Padfoot, Bandit!!"

We turned and saw Peter walking towards us. "Hey Pete. How are you?" He sighed and said, "Good, but did you meet Snape along the way?" We smiled and nodded. "Thought so. Anyways, let's go to our compartment."

We followed Peter down the train and into the compartment we always had rode in. "Hello Moony. Nice to see you." Remus was lying across one of the red cushioned seats. "Scoot over." He positioned himself into a sitting position. "Hey Bandit, how are you?" "I'm good." Bandit was the nickname I had acquired since my animagus form was a fox. I was quick, smart, could steal things really good(which came in handy when stealing from Filch's office), a bit cocky, and loyal. It also had a good ring to it.

"I'm good. Ready to eat some candy." I reached across him to grab some chocolate while Remus looked disapprovingly at me. "What?! It's only one piece!" "One piece I don't get."  I laughed. I leaned back onto the seat and smiled. Remus's obsession with chocolate was a thing we all made fun of.

"Any pranks planned yet?" I asked.

"No. The moon phases have been getting worse. They did over the summer." Remus shrugged it off. I knew it was because he hated us to worry over him. But I could see the newer scars streaked over his face.

"Are you sure you're good? That's a lot more chocolate than usual." Peter pointed out.

Moony saw that chocolate kills dogs and that he wants to kill the wolf inside him. He carries chocolate everywhere. It's a metaphor. But we always knew when the full moons bothered him. He carried more chocolate than normal.

"Yeah I'm good. I swear." Remus smiled his tired smile. I playfully punched him and said, "Alright if you insist. But we'll keep an eye on you."

"Where's James?" Sirius asked.

"He's a prefect now. He's gotta patrol the train." I explained. I was about to ask why but I forgot that he wasn't in touch much.

"I can't believe it. James a prefect? Ridiculous!" Sirius barked his laugh.

"Don't sound too surprised. I could put you in detention. And guess who's the girl prefect?" James had appeared at the door.

"Lily?"

"Lily Evans that's who." James acted like he didn't hear me. I rolled my eyes and patted the seat beside me. My brother sat down and stretched out. "Oh, hello. Could've known you'd be here." Snape had showed back up.

"Watch it. I hear my sister and Sirius has done showed you up today. Wouldn't want to do it again do you?"

Snivilous snarled but stalked off. "Prats." He whispered as he walked away.
