"good morning minnie!!"

sirius and i waltz into professor mcgonagall's office. she was sitting at her desk, filing papers. she looked up, rolled her eyes, and said, "good morning my problem childs."

i laugh and sit down in a desk. sirius leans on mcgonagall's desk, batting his eyes, trying not to smile. "problem child? when have clara and i ever been a problem?"

professor mcgonagall's eyes flitted to us and she glared a very imitational glare. i semi shrank under it, the feeling for being scoured for a lie. the last time she looked at me like that was when remus and i had put a dungbomb under her rug. we figured the rug would absorb the smell a little but i guess not.

all sirius did at minnie's glare was bark his laugh. his should length black hair was in a desperate need of a hair cut. i'd have to find time to do that cause he's never do it himself. he liked it shaggy and long. i didn't mind it long, but the shaggy had to go.

"come on padfoot. let's leave minnie alone and go eat." i grabbed his shaggy hair and pulled him towards the door. "see ya minnie!! love ya!!"

once we were in the hallway, sirius smacked my hand away. "no hair pulling. against the rules." he smirked when he grabbed mine. "hey. you said against the rules!" he wagged his finger in my face. "sorry mate. it's not for me."

he ran down the hallway to the moving stairs. right when sirius had touched them it began to move, carrying him away. "that's cheating!" i yell across the the wide corridor now separating us. he laughed, it's echo vibrating in the halls like a pack of dogs barking.

"who's cheating?"

i turned to see professor slughorn standing beside me. "oh, hello professor. how are you this morning?" besides minnie, slughorn was my favorite professor. that may be cause i was in the slug club, but we don't look into that.

"i'm fine thank you miss potter. i'm on my way to breakfast. would you like to join me?" he walked onto the now reappeared staircase. i walked after professor slughorn, plotting revenge on sirius. we made our way to the great hall, and i excused myself from slughorn. he was nice but he was a bit chatty about the students.

i walked towards where the rest of the marauders were sitting. lily was beside james. he looked like he could have keeled over. moony was beside james, eating some toast and drinking hot chocolate even though it was september. peter was across from them, listening to padfoot retell the run in with snivillous on the train. i walked to sit by sirius, but before i got there i used my wand to make him spill his water on himself.

"HEY!" he shouted. i laugh sitting down beside him. "it's called payback mate. it's what you get." he smirked and turned back to peter. i looked over at remus. he was now pulling chocolate out of his robes pocket. i smiled at him. he looked up and noticed. he smiled too.

"are you okay?" he asked. "i noticed you seemed down last night at dinner. what was wrong?"

i poured myself some apple juice into a goblet. i shrugged, not really sure what to say. "i guess i was just in a mood. feeling a bit down was all." i sipped my drink. i wasn't feeling very hungry so i only ate the piece of chocolate moony gave me. "thanks moony."

he smiled at me again before turning to get a handle on my twin before he died of love. lily was smiling and laughing and i was so happy for james because he had been in love with lily since we were 13. he needed this moment.

"hey bandit. do you wanna walk to the greenhouse with me? i have to turn in my herbology homework?" peter asked. "sure wormy. i'll go." we stood. i pulled sirius's hair as we walked past. he smiled a mischievous grin but just drank his water.

peter and i walked outside to the grounds of the castle. the fresh green grass smelled so good and the sky was blue. "i missed this place. did you?" i said, breaking the silence. he sighed. "yeah. it's nice to be back. feels like home more than home does. everyone at home thinks i'm no good at magic. you guys don't though." he shrugged it off.

"aw pete. we all think you're a great wizard. who cares what anyone else says?" i hugged him. he was the smallest of us, always the most overlooked in pranks and plots. it made me sad to think about it though.

"have you noticed anything between sirius and remus?" he asked unexpectedly.

i shook my head. "no! why?"

"i don't know. sirius has been looking at moony a lot now and always checks on him before we go to sleep."

"oh. maybe padfoot is just worried about moony. remus did say the full moons were getting worse." i suggested.

"maybe."

we continued to the greenhouse. i lost myself in thought. was something going on between remus and padfoot? my brain was filled with what ifs the whole way back to the castle and dada.
