Today was the day my mum and I move to Buford in Atlanta. I woke up with my back, sore, and my neck is killing my whole entire spine from sleeping on the floor, I got up anyway and rolled up my sleeping bag and put it in a container my mother had left out for the last things we needed to pack. My mother woke up five minutes after me while I was eating a piece of bread
"You only have 20 minutes to get ready then we're on the road to go so hurry up" she commanded as she walked into the kitchen also grabbing a piece of bread from the bread back. I nodded and went to my suitcase I took to camp and got out a pair of clothes I had in there, and since I already had my skincare in there and my hairbrush, I took them out and went to the bathroom like I did at camp. when I went into the bathroom, I got dressed into shorts and a tank top since it was quite hot outside then I did my skincare and put my hair up into a Hypony tail. I also brushed my teeth and put everything I used back into the suitcase and went around the whole house and went into every room to check everything was out of there which didn't take long because this house was very small. After checking all the rooms and doors my mum said to 'get my ass outside and get in the car because we had to go.' I screamed from the other side of the house that I was 'making my way to the door'
"Put everything in the car before you go and sit in the car" she said packing up the rest of the stuff, I nodded and started to put all the suitcases and bags along with other containers and boxes into the car that were left out.
"Also, I got a message from the moving truck people and they said to call them when we're five minutes away from the house so they'll make there way to the new house so we can start unpacking the moving truck and get settled into the house" I nod to her response and told her I was getting in the car since everything was packed. I got into the car and put on my Spotify playlist with my AirPods in and the first song was 'Without Me by Eminem'.

"Can we get food on the way?" I asked my mother breaking the dead silence that filled the car.
"Yeah sure what do you want?" she asked politely.
"Is there a Starbucks on the way or a Boba?" I asked and she looked at me for a split second and then took her eyes back to the road.
"I thought you said food not drink" she said in stern tone concentrating on the road, I sighed and nodded
"yeah I know but I want a drink please" she nodded, and in 20 minutes, we found a Starbucks in which I ordered (what ever u want idk what's on the menu cause where I live there is no Starbucks 😭) and my mother ordered a mocha.
"Thank you" I spoke calmly as she pass me my drink exiting the drive-through of Starbucks, She nodded and we were now halfway into our journey to Buford.
"Put on music" my mother asked me breaking another long dead silence, her and I loved Eminem, so I just played his songs from the playlist I have and the first song was 'Ass like that' in which my mother and I pretty much yelled the lyrics.
"The way you shake it, I can't believe it. I ain't never seen a ass like that! The way you move it, you make my pee pee go D doing, doing, doing! Jessica Simpson looks oh, so tempting Nick, I ain't never seen a ass like that! Every time I see that show on MTV, my pee pee goes D doing, doing, doing!"
We yelled the lyrics and yes they may have been inappropriate but my mother and I grew up on listening to Eminem along with my dad listening to all his song so we were used to saying these lyrics out loud and we didn't care if there was any swearing or anything. I liked how I could put on songs and sing my heart out and not get told off. That's how I like to listening to music, to be honest I think the only time my mum and I ever get along is when we are blasting music and singing our hearts out other than that she can be rude or we just distance ourselves from each other or we don't even talk. we continue listening to all of Marshals songs and that took us up to our new house which left my jaw dropped.

I got out of the car and saw a huge mini mansion and it was beautiful. My mum came around the car and put her arm around my shoulder with a smile.
"I wanted this new home to be a surprise, even though I already told you that it was a two story, it's very big and the reason I wanted it to be big is because your dad isn't here to mess up the whole entire house." she says politely I smile and hug her because this is probably the best house I've ever seen. Before I enter, I look around from where I'm standing and see another 2 houses right next to us and we're in a corner away from the other houses in this little town. My mother gets the keys out for the house and opens the door and I walk in to see a beautiful set out clean room which smells amazing. I look around the house and I feel like I got lost at one point but I find the bedrooms and I see the one I like even though they all at the same. My bedroom had a window going out which on the opposite side of the window looks like to be one of the bedrooms in the neighbours house with a window facing me. I bought all my suitcases into my room after approving to my mother that this room could be my room, and I immediately started unpacking and setting up. Around 10 minutes in of me unpacking, the moving truck people came and dropped off all of our stuff and helped us move everything into my room. I had my bed lade out along with my bedside table and all the other large items that was in the moving truck was now in my room. It didn't actually take as long as I thought it would to unpack my room, but I did want to take a break after one hour. I went downstairs and grabbed a piece of bread and went back up to my room and started eating it looking out the window, I saw someone on the other side in the bedroom (I'm the neighbours house) with there back facing towards me at a desk with their lights on, not gonna lie just from the back, they actually look really attractive and there hair was all fluffy and it was a brunette colour, I shrugged and went back to what I was doing and hopefully I can meet the neighbours soon maybe tomorrow after school, not right now. It took me a total of four hours to unpack everything to be put in my room and along with helping my mother with around the house. At 3 o'clock I had to take a tour of the school, so my mother and I drove down to the school to be met with the principle of Buford high school.

The principal greeted my mother and I and showed us around the school. The school was huge with its own stadium, baseball Court, big library, huge halls ways and a lot more and at this point, I don't even know how my mum is affording this. I don't know how she afford the house and this this school combined because it looks like with the school, you probably have to pay $40,000 or some shit to stay here. After taking a long tour tour of the school the principal showed me the last place my mother and I were shown, which was the baseball court.
"Now I heard that you signed up for baseball here" the principal said showing us around the oval. I turned to my mum and she was smiling at me. She must've signed me up for it and put in a resume, I smiled back at her and nodded to the principal
"It's a very competitive but fun and amazing sport here at Buford and I'm sure you make a lot of good friends on the team, oh also for the girls team we call it softball not baseball but from your resume and through notices from your old school and saying that you were in an advanced level for your baseball, I have actually spoken to the education department system and in which they agreed to let you on the boys team for baseball but don't worry they're all nice and they will all treat you with 100% respect and make you feel respected and welcome, even though you'll be the only girl in the team." I was happy with this decision that I was trusted to be in a boys baseball teamninstead of a girls and plus softball to me was no fun even though it was almost exact same thing as baseball so I'm really happy with this.
"Thank you" I replied politely to the principal. He nodded and he walked out of the school back to the car park.
"well miss Y/n I hope to see you at school and if you have any problems with any students or teachers please come straight to me and I hope you feel welcome tomorrow and there will be a couple of other students new joining the school so you won't be the only one, I'll see you tomorrow maybe and have a lovely rest of your day" he said, referring to my mother and I, we thank the principal and shook his hand and my mother and I were off to our house.

When we got back it was already 5:40 so I decided to go for a walk around the block to visualise and memorise the place. I went on a 40 minute walk and it was a really peaceful, relaxing and beautiful neighbourhood. After my walk around I went back home to see A ROAST DINNER?! MY MOTHER COOKED DINNER?! SHE COOKED A ROAST?
"Now close your mouth, there's a first time for everything" she said laughing as I closed the door, I went in the kitchen and set up the table as my mother put the food on the table.
"Since when did you know how to cook a roast?" I asked jokingly.
"When you were at camp. Listen I'm trying to be a better parent and now that your dads gone I can finally focus on me and my mental health, I will try get better and listen to you and understnad you with anything, I haven't been the best mother to you since you were born and now I'm trying to change because its not good for you and myslef if I keep continuing to do what I do, I'm trying to quit the drugs and alcohol, it may take a couple of months or even years but I just want to let you know that I'm trying" the words that came out of my mothers mouth made me feel warm and loved.
"Really?! Thank you!" I said hugging her before we sit down to eat. After we ate, we put the dishes in the dish washer and I clean up the table. I have a shower and do my skin care along with getting my clothes, shoes, lunch, bag and everything else ready for school and by this time it's 9 so I stayed in bed on my phone watching tiktok till 11. When the clock hit 11 I went down stairs to see my mum in the living room watching Euphoria again since she's addicted to the show, I said goodnight to her and went back upstairs into my room which was connected to my own private bathroom and brushed my teeth, I went out my bathroom and as I was going past my window to get to bed, creepily enough.. I could see my neighbour on his phone in bed :0. That's not creepy at all.  I ignored him and hopped into bed and was excited to start school tomorrow.
