I walk across the roof of a building feeling uncertain. I'm on my to my next 'appointment' with some guy. I'm not really sure who this guy is but Nick had momentarily caught up with me saying that this 'guy' should be helpful before leaving. Taking slow strides I hear a commotion down below in a dead end alleyway. Looking down I see a plain looking noble guy cornered by four...bird people!? Oh wait masks, I forgot they exist. I snicker at my stupid thinking process causing the group to look up at me. Upon seeing my mask all apart from the one in the front and the cornered man tense. The cornered guy looks at me full of admiration. The bird masked man in the front groans. I recognized the voice and grin behind my mask. "Red, DaAaRrRling! How wonderful to see you!" I mock.
"Oh gosh, Moonstone, what are you doing here," Red glares up at me through his mask. I laugh.
"Relax dude, I have no intention of hurting anyone here," I say. "Now what's going on?"
"Moonstone!" The cornered guy calls out. "I was in my office waiting for you!"
"Oh, you're the guy!" I say with a point. He nods quickly with a grin.
"You know him!?" Red says. The men behind Red look between the three of us.
"Not really?" I say with a shrug as I lean over the edge.
"That's understandable! You need not know the names of your followers!" The man shouts gleefully up at me.
"Wait a minuet. Are you a cultist? When did I start a cult!?" The man shrugs as Red face palms. "I'm coming down!"
"Wait-," Red attempts to stop me but I already stepped off. I would have been fine but before I can stop the fall from being painful I'm caught by the waist. Red is holding me up in the air. I stare at his unchanging mask. The two of us just stay there for a moment looking at each other; I chop his arm making him drop. "Ow, what the-!"
"Don't touch me," I say before turning to the cornered man. Walking up to him I stare him down. "Why did you want to meet me? Other than for your weird cult thing." He shuffles through his pocket before pulling out two small, thin wood tablets. I take both and look at them appreciating the carvings on it. Humming I turn to the Arbezela soldiers. "Take him to the nearest guard station. Red and who ever you are we're going shopping!" Even behind their masks I sense the shock and confusion.
"Wait, Moonstone, why are you working with them!?" The cornered man yells confused.
"Hush now, Gregory," I command.
"My names not-."
"Hush!"
"Um, are we suppose to?" I hear one of the Arbezela men ask to the guy next to Red.
"Yes, just do what she said," Red commands. The guys hesitantly walk up and drag off the man.
"Come along now, boys you need disguises!" I say as I try to walk past; my wrist is grabbed and spun around. "Uh, hello?"
"What do you mean shopping; this is not the time to be shopping." Raising an eyebrow I tilt my head unamused.
"I've been invited to an underground auction, and I'm taking you as my plus one and him as Gregory." The guy looks at Red and me.
"What's going on?" We both look at the short haired guy. Red attempts to explain but I just pat his shoulder.
"I'm fucking his girlfriend." The boys choke in shock. "Now let's go." I snatch the mask off Red.
"Hey!"
"First we need to change your mask." The prince releases my wrist and takes his mask back I pull out my bell. Materializes my precious bird companion carrying an identical mask to mine. I thank it and it perches on my shoulder. Holding out the mask Red hesitates before roughly grabbing it and putting it on. He huffs and I turn to the other. He willingly takes his off with a moment of hesitation. I grin and turn. "Now for your clothes! Dear, can you show us the way to Nick?" Dear nods and flies up. We follow the bird a while before arriving at a building. Walking in is a small area with a desk; the lights are off. I walk over to a stair case and go up following Dear. On each floor is a hall way filled with doors. Dear stops going up on the fourth floor instead going to one door. Stopping in front I debate if I want to kick the door in or be normal and knock. Before I can decide which option the door opens revealing a damp, half naked Nick. I whistle making his face go bright.
