(Original hc: my memory is telling me I saw someone say Quintessence ghouls are natural empaths and can influence and be influenced by emotions so add that with everyone's grief, and the papa bond, quintessence ghouls need cuddles every papa)
Because the ghouls can be influenced by emotion, every time Nihil would shout at Copia, the ghouls would feel Copia's sadness and frustration, which made it hard for them to practice, but they knew that they could not comfort the Cardinal due to rules Nihil had created.
