The funeral of Jim Gordon was a major event in the city of Gotham, as every citizen, firefighter, and police officer filled the crowds. He had a hero's ceremony with a flag covering his casket, and a statue unveiled in his honor. The man who was once the only good cop left has transformed the once failing city. The Gotham City Police department had renamed their academy, "James Gordon Police Academy," in his honor. He was buried next to his daughter Barbara and he could rest knowing that he brought her killer to justice.
Gotham's new heroes were at his gravestone saying their final goodbyes.
"He was the only one who believed when no one else did," said Harley.
"I could say the same thing, he gets to be with Babs now," said Dick.
Dick began to walk away.
"Dick, I know you said you weren't Batman, but you were exactly the hero Gotham needed. You brought the Joker down and saved thousands of people," said Harley.
Dick smiled at Harley.
"I had a little bit of help," said Dick.
He leaned in and kissed Harley. They both hopped on his motorcycle and began driving out of Gotham.
"Where are we going?" asked Harley.
"Somewhere new, to start over," said Dick
The sign read Bludhaven 15 miles away and they zoomed by it.
