SasuSaku Story: A broken heart

Chapter Three

"Grief never ends... But It changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith... It is the price of love."

It had been a few days since my return to Konoha. I had been training very hard with Tae, trying to control the curse mark.

When I transformed, I had black, Angel-like wings. A black crop top with a long black skirt that had a cut going from my right hip all the way to my ankles. The skirt was very long, so as I walked, it dragged by a few inches. I had feather-like shoes on, so it seemed like I wore boots.

The curse mark enhanced my powers in ninjutsu, so I was able to use water style now. Very powerful jutsu were easy for me, so I became even more powerful than before.

Tae's powers were very similar to mine. His ninjutsu in Water Style increased. But when he transformed, he looked more of a beast. His hair got longer and fuzzier, his muscles enhanced. He just generally looked like a beast.

"Sakura, focus on your technique! Tae, stop checking out girls." Tsunade-Sama pointed out. I laughed at Tae and he rolled his eyes.

"Just be glad that the switch was delayed." She sighed. But it wasn't canceled, which means that Tae would soon have to leave me... I can't have that happen.

"Tsunade-sama, does he have to leave us? Would he be able to return later?" I asked her. "I don't know about that Sakura, I'm sorry. But that's the ninja lifestyle. You always have to sacrifice for your village." Tsunade-Sama replied. I nodded and sighed.

After changing into some spandex, and a short red kimono. I tied my hair into a bun and put on my black usual shoes.

After locking the door behind me when leaving my apartment, I began heading towards the hospital to check on things.

Since Tae was around the village, I decided to continue with my studying. But when I got to the hospital, everything was in order. So I just double checked almost everything, helped a few patients, and then began exiting the building.

"Sakura, what are you doing here?" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around and saw Shikamaru, he was trying to check out of the hospital with Neji, but there was no one at the front desk.

"I'm just checking on everything, how about you two? Feeling better?" I replied.

"Well, Sasuke happened to poison us, but other than that, we have some questions for you." Neji spoke.

"He did?!" I exclaimed, "that lying, cheating, bastard." I grumbled under my breath.

"Sakura, what happened when you were missing?" Shikamaru asked.

"I'll tell you guys at a different place... How about... How about you two just come over to my apartment? Sound good?" I replied.

They looked at each other and then nodded. I then checked them out on the patient list, and we left the hospital.

We then silently walked towards my apartment, and after walking inside and settling down, I began to talk.

"So, after the three of us got split up, Sasuke appeared. I was pretty happy to see him, but he told me some bad news-And I also found out about some bitch- and then I lost my focus- and-and-" I tried to hold back my tears, but I couldn't. It was heartbreaking.

"I love him, and he cheated on me." I cried, as Neji and Shikamaru gave me a side hug while holding each one of my hands.

"After I was knocked out, Sasuke ordered for Tae to get a Curse Mark. I argued with him, but he didn't listen to me. I ended up saving Tae, but Sasuke got jealous and decided that if he can't have me then no one can. So he gave me the curse mark, thinking it will kill me." I continued. Without tears though. I was able to hold them in and speak clearly.
