SasuSaku Story: A broken heart

Chapter Five

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

Shikamaru loves me and I never knew about this?

"Yeah, how did you not know? I swear, this is just like Sasuke and you, except Shikamaru is in your place!" Ino laughed.

"Ino, not funny! I don't love Shikamaru. I still love Sasuke. And i have to find my mom in the Sand Village to know more about Sasuke and everything. So i'm really stressed out right now, and I don't need Shikamaru bothering me and adding more news on my shoulders." I spoke.

"Oh Sakura... I'm so sorry, i didn't know you had so much weight on you. Don't be scared to ask for help Sakura!" Ino sighed, i nodded, and she walked me home.

"By the way, I sort of hit him a mile away after he kissed me. So do me a favor? Check up on him?" I laughed. And she rolled her eyes with a smile and nodded.

"Thanks." I told her, "not just for that, but for being my best friend."

"Oh shut up. Where's that stubborn big forehead girl I hate!" She laughed with me, "bye Sakura, see you around!"

"Bye!" I replied, and we left our separate ways.

After packing to go to the Sand Village, I hurried to the main gates of the village. As soon as I left the village, a few hours later, I began looking for a camp spot. It was getting dark, so I had to hurry.

Eventually, I discovered a cave close by, it was behind a waterfall, so it was a good hiding spot. I started a small fire to keep me warm, and immediately fell asleep.

I was awoken by the soft yet icy cold splashes of the waterfall. I decided to undress myself and take a nice cold shower. It's exactly what I needed to relax.

After undressing myself, I dived inside the natural pool of water right through the waterfall. I neatly dived in, and then found a few rocks I could stand on right behind the waterfall, so that I could shower.

The icy cold water soon felt warm to my body, and I felt relaxed and comfortable. I couldn't help but let a few tears out, I was alone after all.

However, that thought was soon gone, when I heard a ruffle in the forest around me. I sensed a chakra, and then calmly pretended like I had no idea. I used the chakra in my feet to climb up to the cave, and in seconds, I was fully dressed and prepared to catch the spy.

"Relax... It's only me..." Itachi spoke.

"Itachi? What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I'm here to deliver you a message. From our leader. He wants you to come back to us." Itachi said, and handed me a scroll.

I opened it and began to read.

Sakura Haruno, a girl who was once very close to us. You were like family to us, and you still are. So how about you come back to us? We have everything you need. Protection, power, and the truth. You can join us any time you want, just know that our doors are always open for you.

~Pain.

"I thought he knows that I'm an Uchiha?" I asked Itachi, "Yeah, but he prefers you as the little girl he once protected. You were what? 13? 14?" Itachi chuckled. "I was 13. I spent two years with you guys huh." I smiled.

"Yeah, too bad you had to leave us" Itachi sighed. "Well, did you really expect me to stick around for your war plans? I don't think so!" I rolled my eyes.
