Garnets love story

Chapter 6

As time went on Crystal stayed and beach city an explored the wonderful human world. Crystal meet Sadie who works at the doughnut store. Crystal felt so relaxed she couldn't believe what the humans were able to accomplish.

Crystal was also able to get a good look around Beach City. It became such a wonderful place since the last time she had been here. The wind picked up and a flyer flow and landed right a Crystals foot, she squatted down and picked up the flyer. It has writing on it. Looking closely Crystal saw that it was about an underground fighting. It states that there was going to be a tag team match tonight. Shrugging Crystal wasn't really interested in the whole fighting thing after the GDF's the other diamonds decided to make. Crystal walked around the outskirts of Beach City. Looking for a place she can turn into her own home. Crystal decided to stay away from the Crystal Gems mainly Garnet. Even after many years Crystal still cared deeply about Garnet and their first meeting all this time turned into a fight and an apology.

Crystal walked to the edge of a cliff and sat down. Her legs hanging over the edge of the cliff as she looked out into the vast sea. Earth is truly a beautiful planet, Crystal thought to herself. An unexpected shockwave was felt close to Crystal which kicked up dust. Crystal stood up in hast and rushed over to where the commotion was. There was a large crater and Garnet stood in the centre of it. "Garnet! Are you okay?!" Shouted Crystal. Garnet turned her head as she stared at Crystal. A loud screech was heard and both Crystal and Garnet investigated the direction. Crystal was shocked as she saw a large creature that had 3 sets of wings one long beak 3 eyes at the top of its head, it had red and yellow feathers. A corrupted gem, Crystal thought to herself. Garnet shot up and stood in front of Crystal in a protective position. "Garnet."

"Don't worry I'll protect you." Said Garnet in a confident tone. Garnet grew up so much. The way she talks and acts. She's amazing. Even now I know I shouldn't, but I miss her so much, but it seems that I was not needed in her life. I want her in my life, but I know I shouldn't be selfish. As Crystal was left in her thoughts Garnet fought to protect crystal. Garnet knew as being a Crystal Gem it was her duty to protect humans however when it came to Crystal, she didn't want to protect her she needed to protect her. It was as if the thought of losing Crystal would shatter Garnet and she still didn't understand why.

With a powerful strike Garnet was able to strike the corrupted gem down and for a bubble around it. Lightly tapping it Garnet sent the bubbled gem to the core room. Garnet looked at Crystal. "Thank you for saving me Garnet I can't believe what just happened." Spoke Crystal as she stared at the ground. Garnets so strong. Crystal thought to herself. "Corrupted gem. Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?"

"No, I'm alright. Thank you."

"What are you doing here? So far away from Beach City. I also haven't seen you around."

"To be completely honest I've been looking around Beach City getting familiar with it. I decided to stay here for a while and decided to look for a place where I can set up a house for myself."

"Have you decided yet?"

"I was planning on making my new place around here. Come and look." With that Crystal took a walk back to the cliff edge. "I plan on making my place right here on the edge of this cliff." Crystal said with a soft smile. Garnet looked at Crystal a warm feeling spread into her chest as she saw that small, sweet smile and her blue eyes that looked like stars was there as she gazed into the distance. They look familiar too familiar. Garnet thought. Without thinking Garnet grabbed Crystals face as she stared into her eyes. The stars that shined once before disappeared. "Garnet? Is everything alright?" Garnet released Crystals face and said, "Yes, everything is fine. But it seems I need to find Amathyst and Steven. Bye." With that Garnet walked away. As soon as Garnet was far away Crystal crouched down with her head in her hands letting out a long sigh, Crystal raised her head again and followed the ocean a deep grey blush on her cheeks. What was Garnet thinking?
