Garnets love story

Chapter 4

As time went on Grey Diamond with the help of Pink Diamond was able to train Garnet. Garnet exceed everyone's expectations. Garnet grew closer and closer to Grey Diamond. Garnet was constantly at war with herself. She didn't know if she felt admiration or loyalty or love for Grey Diamond. It confused her.

Until one day~
"Garnet my dear why don't we relax today. You have been training so hard these past few days." Said Grey Diamond. Garnet nodded and they simply enjoyed their time together. Pink Diamond showed up with Pearl excited.
"Grey, Grey take a look at this." Pink Diamond brought out a large drum and banged against it. It released a sound. "Isn't this interesting." She said with stars in her eyes.
"May I?" Pearl asked. Pink Diamond gave her the drums and started playing a little melody. Pink Diamond started moving her body to the sound and soon after Grey Diamond joined in.

Grey Diamond walked over to Garnet with her hand stretched out. Garnet took it and they started dancing together. They moved in perfect harmony. As Pearl completed the song garnet and Grey Diamond both giggled. A bright light started to illuminated around them. As they were about to fuse Garnet pushed Grey Diamond away knocking her to the ground.

"What do you think you are doing?!" Shouted Garnet.

"Garnet my dear-"

"STOP IT! I am not your dear, your darling your nothing. I only fuse with the one I love not someone who means nothing to me! I take fusion very seriously."

"Garnet m- I didn't mean to over step-"

"Well you did. I don't want you to touch me it makes me feel uncomfortable. As if I'm betraying myself. You make me hate myself. Why dont you get yourself someone else to indulge with. Hey why dont you get a Pearl instead. So STOP USING ME!" With that said Garnet took of running leaving everyone in a state of shock. Pink Diamond and Pearl saw the pain on Grey Diamonds face. Tears started to form in her eyes before she furiously blinked them away. She swallowed the knot stuck in her throat.

"What an ungrateful fusion. Wait until I-"

"Pearl no. It is fine. Garnet said the truth I have been lonely without my Pearl around, but I would never use Garnet as a substitute. Garnet has all the right to feel the way she feels. I am the one in the wrong for over stepping." Said Grey Diamond.

"Grey no its-" Grey Diamond held her hand.

"Don't worry Pink it's fine. Please don't be upset. It's getting a little late and I would like to be alone right now." Grey Diamond said.

Grey Diamond walked Pearl and Pink Diamond out of her room. As she turned around once the door was closed she went to soak in the pool.

Silent tears rolled down Grey Diamonds face. She replayed what Garnet said over and over again. A crushing pain was all she felt, worse than the crystalized that formed onto her body.  She came to realize that she cared for Garnet to much and she decided to lock what she felt in a vault inside her heart. Never to been seen, never to be felt as it had caused pain to someone she cared most about.

After her soak she climbed out of the bath and materialized clothes on her person again and left the room. As she walked into her room she saw Garnet sitting on her bed her back facing Grey Diamond.

Grey Diamond spoke, "Garnet, I would like to apologize for my actions. It was wrong of me." Garnet stood up and faced Grey Diamond. "The training-"
"Yes do not worry the training will commence as usual. You will be ready once the time arises." Garnet watched Grey Diamond as she spoke. A small smile on her face would have fouled anyone but the shine in her eyes were dimmer now. They do not flash bright like how they use to whenever they spoke together.
"I didn't mean to say all those things. They came out I would like to apolo-"
"No no no there is nothing you need to apologize for. You have all the right to feel how you feel." Grey Diamond interjected.
