Y/n pov

"A kid threw up and you didn't tell me!"

He nervously chuckles and continues cleaning the vomit.

"I didn't want you to clean to up. But, I was also kinda lazy~"

I roll my eyes and turn back to put away the toys. Suddenly, I see a shadow right behind me. I turn around and almost scream when I see Eclipse in such close proximity.

"Done~ I'm done~"

"That quick?"

I look behind him and see the ground spotless.

"You have a gift when it comes to cleaning~"

"Yeah~ With both of us combined, we can get cleaning done much faster~"

He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me to him.

"Such a good girl you are~ Staying here to help me clean~"

"It's no problem~"

'Even if I didn't have a choice...'

"I was supposed to meet Joel today... I hope he doesn't feel too bad..."

"I'm sure he's fine~ You can just see him again tomorrow~"

He smiles and starts helping me clean up. He picks up a doll and just stares at it with a guilty expression.

"This is Molly."

He picks up another doll and shows it to me.

"And Abigail."

"Aren't those the dolls Rachel played with?"

"Yup."

He tosses them in the bin and starts picking up more toys and putting them away. Out of nowhere, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see Eclipse with a mischievous smirk.

"Tag~ You're it~"

"Wha-HEY"

I start chasing him all over the daycare. The fact he has long ass legs didn't help me at all. But somehow, I was able to get just close enough to him. Then...

'Tap'

I immediately start booking it the second I touched him.

"WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN FAST?!"

"I HAVE NO IDEA~"

He eventually starts catching up. He stretches his arm out as far as possible to try and tag me. Until, I make a sharp turn. But...

'Crash'

I crashed into a big pile of those barrels. And hurt my head in the process. I sit up and rub my head, trying to sooth the mild pain. Eclipse sits in front of me and cups my face, examining it.

"Are you ok?! You are ok right?! Are you hurt?!"

"I'm fine. Just bumped my head, that's all."

"It's not just a bump! You heard the sound you made when you crashed!"

"Well, I'm fine. It's fine."

"Hmph."

He kisses my forehead and caresses my cheeks.

"Muah~! All better~"

He slides his hands to my shoulders and kisses both my cheeks.

"Sorry I ruined your hard work."

He looks at the barrels and smirks.

"Oh, it's fine~ I care about you more~"

He leans closer, only inches away. He holds up my chin and traces my lips with his thumb, causing me to start blushing.

"I'd like you to be with me more then those stupid barrels that always fall for some reason~"

He leans even closer, but once he's barely an inch away, my alarm on my phone starts going off.

"Looks like it's time for me to go."

I stand up and start walking to the door.

"Aw man... Already?"

"I can't stay late. I still gotta sleep at a reasonable time so I can wake up early tomorrow."

"Ok... Goodnight~!"

"Goodnight!"

Joel pov

"Where are you going? Mom said it's time to sleep."

"I need to deal with something."

I grab my keys and put on my shoes. She pauses to think a about what I said. Then gasps once she realizes.

"Is it about Y/n?"

"Yes. Don't tell anyone."

"Ok. Buh bye!"

"Bye."

Y/n pov

I was almost at the exit, until...

"Joel?"

"Y/n... I gotta take this off my chest like right now."

He takes in a deep breath and puts his hands on my shoulders.

"Y'know, I always imagined telling you this in the park with the fireflies, or in a nice cafe on a rainy day."

"Joel, are..."

He lets go fo my shoulders and start backing away.
