I hide under the table with all the newspapers and drag a box in front of it to cover me. His footsteps are still pretty far, so he isn't in the room yet. But, he was close enough for me to hear his voice.

I put my hand over my mouth as I hear his footsteps grow closer. Then, they suddenly stop.

He lets out a low chuckle and walks closer to the bulletin board.

I just stayed frozen in fear and close my eyes shut.
