"Mecara?" Sarvente called out as she walked through the near-empty palace. The entire building felt... abandoned, and created an eery feeling that gave her the chills a bit.

"Luci?"

She stopped in her tracks. Sarvente whipped her head towards the sound, and then saw Mecara walking in from another room.

"You're back so soon? It hasn't even been twenty-four hours, Hm. Anyways... have you recruited your 100th member?" Mecara asked, looking right at her with an unreadable stare.

Sarvente hesitated. She had thought back on her decision of coming here. But hell, there was nothing else to do, or her entire family would suffer the same fate as her. She obviously couldn't have that...

"I... I did not. In fact, I have brought out Lucifer in a craze to... push the little lamb into joining the church." She told.

Mecara hummed, his eyes widened slightly through his elongated bangs, but his quickly regained his composure.

"I... see. How very interesting, Mrs. Lucifer. Well then, you know the deal."

Sarvente refused to look back and nodded. "However, I may ask... where is.."

"Yakoshi? No... you mean Jeje? She's... preoccupied at the moment. However, I've decided a more... exhilarating way to end your life."

'What?'

Mecara pulled out an extremely sharp looking sword, glistening brightly, enough to make Sarvente squint slightly, as she turned her gaze away from the blinding weapon.

"I've wanted to try out this glorious being ever since Y'aokamaenaka discovered her in my father's lair. She's truly a beauty, isn't she?" Mecara asked, tossing the sword in the air and catching it again with ease.

Sarvente winced of the thought of that impaling her. Though maybe, just maybe she could avoid getting struck by the sword long enough to come up with her inevitable final goodbyes to her family.

Mecara seemed to have read her expression, and stifled in a laugh, 'What a piece of shit,' thought Sarvente.

"Well then... let's dance." Mecara hummed, a wide grin plastered on their face. Sarvente felt a nervous bead of sweat trickled down her face, as she prepared for impact.

... (Haha I don't feel like writing the whole goddamn thing)

About an hour or more of fighting, Sarvente couldn't tell. It felt like an exhausting and exhilarating eternity. Call Sarvente crazy, but though she was going to die, she did admit, it was fun to dance around with her attacker until then.

She didn't realize her thoughts were in the way, and she winced in shock, feeling the sword in pale her from behind. Shit... looks like playtime was over.

Sarvente looked down in shock, then confusion. She felt no pain from the weapon at all. Mecara let out a slight laugh. "Got you."

"What?"

She suddenly turned extremely angry. "How can you be so playful at a moment like THIS!?" She yelled at the younger one. Despite them being only 17 in mortal years, Sarvente knew that Mecara was more than mature enough to understand how dire the situation was, especially since he was the one doing such horrible actions.

"I never enjoy conducting such wild precautions, but well, it's for the greater of all. 그것은 통과 할 것이다."

Sarvente hissed and went silent. Mecara was always saying that for everything he does, brushing everything off like it will all be alright. For someone supposedly mature and wise, it was an immature move.

"But oh, don't worry. The venom is now entering your body as we speak. This sword does no harm to immortal beings, but it does get the job done."

The sentence alone made Sarvente flinch. Looks like it wasn't all for nothing. Now that the god mentioned it, she started to feel power being sucked out of her body. Her knees felt weak, and she started slightly trembling a bit. But curiously, Mecara didn't seem to notice, or at least mind.

He hummed and took the sword out of the demoness, then looked at her dead in the eyes again through his bangs.

"I am.. sorry, Lucifer. It is however, for the better. Luckily, this venom takes seven days to fully break your body down from the inside and well... execute you. Hopefully, you can say your final goodbyes to your family. I bid you adieu now."

Mecara began walking away from Sarvente, leaving her to think about this.

...

"I CANNOT believe this! One week? For not getting someone to join the church!? FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" Sarvente screamed in frustration as she paced around the room.

She took some deep breaths, attempting to calm herself down. "Perhaps I should tell Ruv about this? And the children? But oh. the toll this shall take on them... I'll feel so guilty... for destroying their happiness.."

She was in a big dilemma, but either decision she would choose would inevitably end in the same bitter fate, grief and sorrow...

"Oh, this is no good... there's no point in keeping it away... they'll find out eventually, and it'll hurt them even more than knowing beforehand. But, oh! How am I going to tell them?..."

"Perhaps... I should start with Ruv, yeah. He shall understand and take this much better than the children will... right?"
