At Base, Odysseus got out grapefruit juice and invited everyone to sit in the brown and black leather chairs and couch. He set a tarnished silver tea tray on the iron and glass coffee table. Nobody touched it.
"Okay, so let me get this straight." he said, pacing back and forth in front of the TV. "Pen's parents don't want me to see her, correct.?"
The boys nodded.
"So to keep her from me, they locked their daughter in a mansion?"
"I believe they're going to try and train her, like, to be a rich girl and whatnot." York piped up. He flicked Motley's hand, which was reaching for a glass of juice, and took it himself.
Odysseus sighed and rubbed a hand over his face.
"Pea might help us." Nip said. "If we bribe her."
"No, Peaches would help no matter what. She's Nell's best friend."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure Nell hanging with us and Peach is what got her into trouble in the first place."
Odysseus rolled an R, once, and the entire group fell silent. At last, he spoke.
"Grab Peaches, Nip, and York, try Gin as well. Don't argue—you know that they listen to you two best."
The duo blushed as their friends made kissy noises.
"Motley, get the Burness' to throw a cocktail party and invite Pen's folks."
Motley nodded, saluted, and scampered to his bedroom for his task.
"Jax, get us some sort of rope or something, we need to get in and get out quick."
The sly redhead grinned with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"My pleasure."
"Scale, we'll need no funny business. You know what to do."
The tall African American nodded solemnly.
"Whada bout 'chu, boss?" Jax drawled, his eyes tired.
"I need to go find my sword again. It's time I finally saw Pen."
