It was a busy day for the maximals Optimus had pretty much every one doing something: Cheetor and Tigertron were on patrol in grid sector Delta , Rhinox was out with Airazor dealing with a stasis pod and Optimus was busy checking out a strange anomaly similar to the standing stones . As for Rattrap and Dinobot? Well.....they got the very fun task of baby sitting you , it was Optimus's way of "punishing " them for arguing so much . Plus he thought it was a good way for them both to spend more time with you and create a stronger bond with you since they were both your uncles " BABYSITTING HA, what a pathetic task for a warrior such as myself to be tasked with watching over a snivelling baby " Dinobot states " eh what are you complaining about? , the kids not that bad , I mean just look at her " Rattrap replies holding you in his arms " I should be out in the battle field , fighting Predacons . This is a waist of my talents" Dinobot say throwing his arms in the arms .
You just sat in your crib watching them curiously as you listened to them squabble back and forth " if you think this is such a*snarls* wonderful job then YOU watch over her , I got better things to do " Dinobot adds on " FINE ,maybe I will I bet I'd make better babysitter than you anyways!" Rattrap tells him lifting you out of your crib and holding you in his arms as you both watch him leave your room . You look up at your annoyed uncle Rattrap curiously, babbling. He looks down at you and smiles " come on kid , we'll have more fun together without him anyways " he says carrying to the bridge . He Carrie's you over to his post and sits down with you on his lap, putting on some cartoons for you both to watch " yeah this should keep you entertained until your daddy comes home " he says kicking up his feet on the desk and watches them with you .
However, while watching cartoons with you he started to nod off and fall asleep and you started to get bored . So what is a bored little sparkling to do with themselves alone with nothing to do? Well you decided to explore on your own of course. Carefully sliding off his lap you crawled around on the ground and discovered that the hatch was still open , crawling over to it you ride it down to the surface and manage to get out . Meanwhile a certain purple dinosaur was lurking around the base ( and I'm not talking about Barney) " hmmm the ship is unguarded yessssss, the defensive systems is turned off as well surprisingly so but fortunate for us. Isn't that right Scorponok " Megatron states transforming to bot mode . Scorponok chuckles and does so as well , he then begins to fire at the ship with Megatron joining in on it as well.
Rattrap gets jolted from his Rat nap and notices that your missing " SCRAP THE KIDS GONE and to make matters worse we're under attack, I gotta think of something quick and find where the kid ran off to" he says as he tries to frantically goes to find where you ran off to. meanwhile Dinobot was returning to the base from doing his own thing and spotted the Megatron and Scorponok attacking the ship, but what really caught his attention was you crying and panicking behind a large rock just outside the base . He snarls and rushes into battle as he tries to fight them , he then activates sentinel which ends up taking care of the Preds for him as Megatron and Scorponok runs away from the base .
Once the Preds were gone he walked over to you and gently lifted you into his arms , holding you close to his spark " there there your um....safe young one" he awkwardly tells you and Carrie's you back inside . Going up the lift , Dinobot sees Rattrap frantically searching the ship " hey uh Chopper face , have you seen...." Rattrap begins to say but then sees Dinobot bot with you " oh there you are kid , you had me seriously worried there " he says and tries to take you from Dinobot . But Dinobot glares at him and snarls " YOU WERE INCOMPETENT AND FOOLISH LETTING HER WANDER OFF LIKE THAT , SHE WAS OUTSIDE COWERING IN FEAR FROM THE PREDACONS WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING! I HARDLY SAY YOU ARE CAPABLE OF WATCHING OVER HER" he shouts angrily at him and keeps you away from him . Rattrap glares back at him " HEY I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WOULD WANDER OFF " he shouted back "WELL YOU WOULD HAVE YOU WEREN'T BEING LAZY AND ACTUALLY WAS WATCHING HER!" Dinobot retaliated back . You once again listened to the them argue back and forth , but suddenly you then realized you were kinda...feeling rather uncomfortable in your diaper and started to whimper " WELL YOU KNOW WHAT CHOPPER FACE , WHY DON'T YOU WATCH HER THEN IF YOU THINK YOU CAN DO BETTER " Rattrap shouted ignoring your whimpers for a moment .
They stopped arguing for a moment when a certain foul stench reached their noses and they both cringed " BAH what in the inferno is that wretched stench?" Dinobot cringed covering his nose . Rattrap sniffed out the source and realized you had soiled yourself " awwww kid tell me you didn't" he whines , you look up at him with sad puppy dog eyes " ugh fine....Dinobot you change the kid" he says . Dinobot snarls and shoves into Rattraps arms " NO, you change her rodent . It's your fault she soiled herself in the first place therefore it should be your responsibility to deal with the mess " Dinobot tells him . Rattrap pouts hanging his head low "fine , we'll at least help with it" he says " I am certain that someone as pathetic as you can change a mere diaper rodent" Dinobot tells him.
Sighing in defeat Rattrap carried you to your room , laid you on the changing table and began to unwrap you from your soiled nappy " oh man....this smell worse then the garbage that I find " he complains as he struggles to clean you up . Meanwhile Dinobot was on the bridge just watching over the monitors when Optimus coms in " Optimus to base do you copy, Rattrap, Dinobot " he calls in " this is Dinobot " Dinobot replies " how is babysitting duty? She isn't too much for you two to handle is she?" Optimus asks " no, she is.....currently getting her nappy changed at the moment, we have *snarls* the situation under control " Dinobot reports back to him " good to know , well I'm just about finished at the standing stones , I'll be back shortly " Optimus tells him and hangs up. Dinobot does the same and then hears Rattrap calling for him " DINOBOT I NEED ASSISTANCE " he calls him from your room , Dinobot rolls his eyes in annoyance and goes to see what the problem was " what is it rodent?" He asks as he comes into the room. He stares in disbelief to see that there was wet wipe all over the place , a diaper wrapped around your head and "waisted" smeared all over the change table " unbelievable, give me those...let me take it from her " Dinobot angrily tells him taking what was left of the wet wipes and swiftly cleaning you up and getting you put into a fresh diaper like a pro " there , that's better " he says satisfied with his efforts. Rattrap looks at him shocked " how did you get so good at that?" He asks " unlike you cheese lips , I took time to learn about a sparklings needs and how to properly care for them . And since I did your job for YOU , it's your job now to clean up this mess you've created before Optimus returns" Dinobot says taking you off the changing table and carrying you to the bridge with him , all while Rattrap cleaned up the wet wipes and messy change table. Once Optimus arrived both Dinobot handed you over to him and explained the whole situation that had happened that day, needless to say Optimus made note of who to put on babysitting duty from now on and Rattrap was never allowed to babysit again.....( to be continued)
