Chapter 11 Danger

As I looked into the eye's of the man that put my life into danger, I saw nothing but a stranger. Terrified as I was, I tired to not look that obvious.

"Um...yeah I'm fine." I lied. We have to get out of here. I need to inform Brett.

"If you need some Advil, there is some here." said Ivan as he pulled the bottle of pills.

"Uh, no I'm fine really I just...need some air." I said as I walked outside. I could the three pair of eye's looking straight in the back of me. When I was finally alone, I took a deep breath trying not to cry. Crying is not going to help anyone especially in my situation. I looked around to see if nobody was there but there was no one. I need to think of a plan. If I am close to my enemy, then....I'm sure I can do this. I have to forget about my feelings and think about the good cause I'm doing. I'm saving many people. Tears went rolling down my cheek.

"Need a tissue?" asked Ivan from behind me. I looked back as he was holding a tissue in his hand. I looked at and shook my head. He stood just a few inches away from me but not to close. He took a deep breath.

"You know, I know your hiding something from me but I can't figure out what it is but you have to trust me on this Karen." he said. I didn't look at him. I just at the trees that were right in front of us.

"I know I might be the least person you would want to talk to but.." he said as he slowly got closer to me and placed his hand on mine.

"I still love you and I just want to protect you. I don't want to loose you again." he said. I slowly looked back at him. His eye's. I could see the soul inside him.....and I knew he was telling me the truth but that's what the most. That I can't trust him. I slowly took my hand away from his and cleaned my tears away.

"I think just need to rest." I said as I slowly turned around and started to head out the door.

"Karen?" said Ivan. I looked back to look at him. It looked like he want to tell me something but the only word that came out of his mouth was.

"Goodnight." he said.

"Goodnight." I responded back.

Me and Gaby both shared a room since I thought it was more convenient that we sticked together until I we found out who was behind all this. Gaby was brushing her teeth in the bathroom while I was in my bed braiding my hair. She came the restroom and sat down on her bed.

"Karen....is their something wrong?" said Gaby. I looked up at her.

"No....it just doesn't make sense...why would he do this?" I said.

"I don't know how to answer that but don't worry, we will walk out of here together okay?" said Gaby as she reassured me with the look in her eye's. I half smiled.

"Here let me give you a warm hug." said Gaby as she came close to me and wrapped her arms around me. I also gave her a hug.

"I love you Gaby." I whispered.

"I love you too Karen. Your my cousin. My best friend." she replied.

3:00 am

I woke up, I couldn't sleep. I turned around and saw that Gaby was sleeping. I slowly stood up and open the door. I closed and went straight to the kitchen without making any noise. I didn't turn on the lights because I could see perfectly in the dark. Well honestly, it wasn't that dark. I was drinking a glass of milk when I could see someone outside from the window. I slowly walked to see who it was. It was Ivan but I could see he was talking to someone outside. It was a man. He gave him something that was wrapped around something. My heart was beating faster and faster as he unfold it. Oh..no.. I thought.

In Ivan's hands......their was a gun. My heart dropped.
