Chapter 5 Return

"What?" asked Gaby as she finished and took off the flash drive. I couldn't speak. My whole throat was locked like if venom was inside it. This couldn't be. Not him.

"Karen?.............Karen?...........Karen!" yelled Gaby. I looked at Gaby. My skin felt icy cold. You could see the fear in my eye's.

"we have to leave now!" I yelled as I grabbed Gaby's hand but she yanked it away from me.

"Are you crazy! No of course not. I still need to apply the camera's around the house. We cannot just leave like that." said Gaby as she grabbed a little tiny camera and put it on the corner of the security house. I kept on looking at the camera. Hoping that Ivan wouldn't come here.

~Flashback~

At the Beach Sunset

"So what's up babe?" I asked as I grabbed Ivan's hand. Ivan looked at me. He slowly took his hand away from mine.

"Karen.........I can't...." he said in a low voice. I looked at him bewildered.

"What do you mean?" I asked. My heart started to accelerate and a fast pace.

" I don't............love you." said Ivan as the words went straight to my heart and broke it into a million pieces that nothing else would make it better. My eye's started to get watery and I could see that Ivan wanted to comfort me but I moved away from him.

"No...don't touch me......you are nothing to me." I said as a tear went rolling down my cheeks. I started to walk away and then I started to run. Ivan grabbed my elbow but I yanked my arm away from him.

"Karen listen to me. You don't understand." he said as he looked down at me.

"No! You don't know anything. You kept on going with this for too long. Ivan.......god I loved you! I loved you so much to the point that I would do anything to make you happy.......but I can see that you still love her...don't you? Don't lie to me." I said as I tried to fight the tears back but it was useless. He took a deep breath.

"Karen......I?" he said in a low voice that I could barely hear him.

"No, it's okay, you don't have to tell me anymore. I get it." I said as I bit lip trying not to cry. I looked in the back and saw a taxi waiting.

"Goodbye Ivan." I whispered as I ran to the taxi and open the door.

"Can we go to main street please?" I asked the taxi. I closed the door and the taxi started to move. I saw Ivan running as fast as he could but the taxi was going way faster than him.

"Karen!" yelled Ivan as I turned around and placed my head on the window cleaning my tears away.

"Karen? Karen?" said Gaby as she was trying to shake me off.

"Uh?" I said as I tried to come back to reality.

"What's wrong with you?" she asked. I didn't have the words to explain this. It was to much for me. To much for my memory. My stupid memory that he had to be a part of it.

"Nothing. Can we leave now?" I asked.

"Yes, let's-" but Gaby stopped and her eye's were wide open. I gave her a questioning look and turned around. There was two securities standing right in front of the door.

"Well....well....look who we have here.....the Arroyo family." said one of the securities. I aimed my pistol at him then we realized that there was another securities in the back of us.

"I would put that gun down if I were you." said the other security from the back. I looked at Gaby and she gave me a quick nod. I knew what she ment.

It's now or never.

I kicked one of the securities in their private part while the other one I hit him with the pistol.

"You bitch!" said the the one security guy that I hit him in his private part. The other guy was knocked out. He is so weak, I thought. I looked at Gaby who was fight with both of the guy's. I went to go help her with one. I grabbed one of the guy's by surprise in the throat and placed the gun in his head.

"Now who is talking now?" I said as I whispered it on the guy's ear. Gaby was about to hit the guy she was fighting with when someone yelled.

"Stop right there!" yelled Ivan. I looked up. Another guy was right next to him but I didn't know him at all.

"Louis?" said Gaby.
