Chapter 16 Unexpected

Brett didn't talk to me on our way to the private airport. He was probably not okay with this but I couldn't just leave my cousin Gaby and not tell Ivan that we are having a baby boy. We arrived to the airport and James was already there. One thing I like about James is that he is always sharp on point.

"Hello Karen. It's good to see you." said James and he hugged me and the shook Brett's hand.

"So we are going to Brazil?" said James as he pressed the button to open the stair case. Brett was taking out my luggage from the car.

"Definitely, are you up for it?" I asked. James shook his head and gave me a grin, " Of course I would be ready, I couldn't miss Karen bossing me around." he said as he winked at me. I gave him a soft punch.

"Hey, just because I'm pregnant, doesn't mean that I can't punch you." I said as I half smiled.

"Hey, can we get going?" said Brett as he came closer to us. He had already placed my luggage inside the airplane. Everything was ready and good to go.

"Here, i'll help her." said Brett as he placed his hand on my waist. I felt an electric current go everywhere inside me. I haven't felt this in a long time. I looked at him and he was looking down until a few minutes later he caught my gaze.

"Yo! Are you guy's ready or not?" yelled James. I looked at James and back at Brett.

"Let's go." I said in a low voice.

I was half asleep and half awake but I was pretty sure I wasn't dreaming anymore and that's when I decided to wake up. I rolled up from my bed and pressed the button for a flight attendant to bring me water. Brett was still sleeping. He looked so handsome. I never really payed much attention to the flight attendants.

"Here is some water." said the girl with a familiar voice. I looked up and tried to scanned the girl. She looked somewhat like Gaby......a ton like Gaby but......their was just something not right about her.

"Thank you....but...can I please ask for your name?" I asked. Gaby's eyes changed different color when they finally turned green. She gave me an angry look.

"No. You are Karen Arroyo, my enemy and I won't surrender to you!" yelled Gaby as she went straight to my neck trying to choke me.

"What the....hell do you-" I said but I couldn't speak anymore. That's when Brett woke up and pulled Gaby away from me. He pulled out his gun but then that's when James came in. His eye's were the same as Gaby's.

"Guy's relax...let's try to get to know each other better."said James as he gave us a crooked smile. I grabbed my gun. That's when Brett started to step away slowly. I looked slowly around myself as I stepped back and I saw that their was a parachute.

"Brett...please don't shoot them, they have some type of drug inside them." I said as I signal him to look at me. He was the parachute and I opened the door of the airplane.

"I'm sorry but I think we got some other plans. See yah!" said Brett as he grabbed the parachute and put on him. He quickly grabbed me and we both jumped out of the plane. I could feel the wind blowing on my face.

I was trying to swim but I felt like something was pulling me down. Gaby? It couldn't be her? Could it? I felt the salty water getting inside my lungs as they started to burn. That's when I felt a pair of hands grabbing me and pulling me back up. I started to cough out water.

"It's okay Karen, I will never let your baby and you die. I promise." said Brett as he hold me closer to his chest.
