2 years has passed and I'm 8 years old. Jacob was hardly around now days, as I went to school like normal. I really missed my demonic friend. I was currently getting bullied. I was pushed to the ground by a mean boy named Kevin, while everyone else laughed. My new friends where at the back, seeming sad but were too scared to do something about it.

I was okay with it. Though I shouldn't be. "Come on freak, I am just playing. No need to cry!" he sneered at me, grinning widely, while I was crying my eyes out. The teachers didn't even care about me. It was as if I was a ghost to them.

"HEY!" I heard a familiar shout. My mom! "LEAVE MY CHILD ALONE!" she shouted at them, they ran away. My friends only walked away with their heads down. I got up and ran to my mom, giving her a tight hug. She hugged me back. "Mommy! Please! I don't want to go tomorrow!" I cried out. "It's gonna be fine. If they do something more to you, tell me, okay." she told me, more of a statement than as a question. I nodded. We walked back home and I finally stopped crying. I wasn't very liked at all, not even my father liked me.

The walk was long as I was in deep thought, thinking about the one and only, Jacob. I wanted to meet him again, but I didn't know when he'll be back.

I got interrupted from my thoughts as my mom started to talk. "We are here now!" my mom chirped with happiness. I only fake smiled. Mom took out her keys and I looked at her with a questioning look. She seemed to notice it, because she looked at me. "What is it?" she asked. "Can I unlock the door?" I asked with a sweet tone that could fool anyone to do my bidding. She smiled at me and handed me the keys.

While I was focusing on unlocking the door, I noticed the one and only Jacob, behind a tree. I unlocked the door, throwing in my bag, and told mom that I was gonna be outside. She was okay with it as she went in and closed the door while I was walking towards the tree. "Hello Jacob!" I greeted my best friend. He smiled one of those big grins of his. "Ashlynn! I missed you!" he chirped, hugging me tightly. I giggled.

"Why where you gone for so long?" I asked him when that question came to my mind. "I'm sorry... But I had school too, plus, I had even lessons with my mum at home at the same time." his wide grin turned into a frown of concern. "Are you okay?", that sudden question got me confused. How did he know that I was feeling down? He seemed to notice my confusion. "I learned how to read minds and from what I can read from your mind is that you aren't fine..." He gave me a caring look, as I looked down, telling him what had happened.
