Down in hell, a young little prince demon woke up from getting out of the dreamscape. The dreamscape being Ashylnns.
Black mist covered him and is red eyes glowed. Getting up from his bed, he went to the bathroom. Two blacks mists appeared behind him and faded out to reveal two maids. The bathroom itself, was huge, huge to the hot tub being of a big size. A door to the right side, lead to a walk in closet. This closet however, only stored the clothes that he used since the closet in hit room stored the clothes that he only used once, maybe twice in his lifetime and never again. They weren't favorable.
The maids bowed to him as he looked himself in the mirror. Normally, a demon didn't need certain things since they can either use their magic or they have a need for it but the few certain things in the castle was mainly for Ashlynn. That being the bath tub. Demons could clean themselves with their magic after all.
He sighs as he put his shadowy clawed hand on the mirror, right were his face was as he swipes to the left. An image showed itself on it. In the moving image, was Ashlynns room. He had to make sure that his friend was okay after all or more like, keeping an eye on the parents, specifically the father. He might be scared of him but he knew that the man was no good in the family's life. He has to know what the man was doing.
Seeing that nobody's there, he swiped again, seeing the parents bedroom this time. There, was the father and he seemed to be in a call with someone. "yes, yes that'll work. I'll take her there. Yes, thank you, father. Alright, see you on Sunday." The father hanged up his phone. This caught the prince's interest.
He swiped at the mirror again, turning it into normal, seeing himself again. Now, when he got a good look at himself, he noticed that he wasn't in presentable clothes. The maids, who watched noticed him glancing at himself and got straight to work at finding presentable clothes for him and started to work. They helped him with the bath since Jacob liked taking those. He dismissed them, not wanting to be disturbed.
He went in and sat there, in the water, wondering what lessons he had to do for the day. Like Ashlynn, he went to a school but his was a private school. He didn't like it what so ever since they were quite mean and they got extremely high expectations of him. He was the prince after all. Demons were normally mean beings and already looked down upon in the human world. Some of the angels even, looked down on them and didn't like the peace treaty at all. They used to be in a war with the demons after all. Everyone wanted him to be a pretty mean individual and a perfect tyrant, like his parents but unfortunately, he wasn't like that. No, we was more friendlier than that, he liked flowers that weren't on fire all the time. He like the human world because there were some rare humans that actually were pretty nice to have around that he personally believed should get to go to heaven.
He got a friend that is human even, someone who's nice, even to someone like him, even if he wasn't human. He had fought hard to keep Ashlynn as his friend and even harder to get others to accept her. Nobody liked her at first. She was just too nice, too kind for their liking. She was making him too nice and kind, she made him soft according to them.
He proved to them that he wasn't going soft. He proved to them that he was the same troublemaker as he always was. He proved to them that she would go along with it and that she was quite the troublemaker herself, the true her always came out for him when they were alone. He had to threaten the others and more just for her and after a while, they started to accept her.
His parents started to even like her and would threaten their kingdom with death if they would ever touch a hair on her head. Of course, not everybody liked that and would get pissed off but they saw how easy it was for her to befriend others. She might've been scared at first sight of many of them and the animals that lurks in hell but she was also accepting and would even go as far as to force his parents to accept the little puppy that she found for him.
He smiles at the thought of the day that she declared war on the royalty just for his little puppy. It started off as an argument where his father ended up terrifying her, probably for life, till she screamed and declared war. She snapped and even went as far as to run at his father and slap him. Of course, she did fail but she found ways to annoy him. Even his mother got annoyed.
Everyone were on edge that day and payed huge respect for her for going against the king.
He noticed that he's been in the bath for too long and decided to get up. He washed himself off and put on his clothes. The maids came back took care of the last necessities he needed and drained the bath tup. He went out of the bathroom, out of his room and went to the dining room.
The walls were decorated in paintings, going from landscapes to the royal family and a few art pieces Ashlynn has made. Maids were walking around in a fast pase, cleaning and taking care of the place and so did the butlers.
A butler that was already stationed by the dining room doors waited for his arrival.
The butler opened the doors and let Jacob inside. There, his parents sat but they seemed to not be alone, in fact. There was visitors.
His father, was a dream demon and was powerful as such. He was covered in dark mist, the only thing showing, was his blood red eyes. His Mather was also covered in black mist, but not as much as his father. Her long dark brown hair was barely visible and her dark blue bat wings were somewhat visible. Her eyes were of a more brighter red than her husband's. Hers looked more like rubies.
The visitors on the other hand, were a man and a small boy who seemed to be around his age. The man was quite tall with hooves for feet, claws, horns and a spiky tail. His legs were of black fur and he seemed to have fangs. His son, got black furry legs, hooves, a spiky tail and black wings. He also have dark red, almost black hair in a ponytail.
"Ah, so glad you could join us" his father said as he noticed him. His father's voice was more demonic than anything. "yes father." He said and bowed before walking towards a chair and taking a seat, food was places on the table. The food consisted of souls, meat and some toast. Normally, he doesn't have to eat souls of the living but it was a tradition to do every morning, especially if it was affordable during the few times they were able to farm it from hell.
"We need to have a little talk, my son" Jacob looked up at his father in confusion. "what is it?" He asked. "I have decided that you need another friend. This fine gentleman here, has decided to give his son the job of your friend. He will also become your personal butler, seeing as the last one didn't make the cut." His father told him, sounding more threatening at the end of his sentence. Jacob gave a curt nod and looked at the boy, examining him.
"What might your name be?" He asked the kid before him. The dark red head bowed to him. "My name is Kion, my prince. I am from the first ring of the high class there." He responded. "how old are you?" "I believe I'm the same age as you." He responded again. Jacob nodded, being in thought. "Are you willing to become my butler? Are you willing to pledge your loyalty to me?" He asked the red head. "Yes, to both questions." He replied.
Jacob looked at his parents. "He'll do fine for me." He told them. His mother smiled. "wonderful. Of course, once he becomes older, will he take the role of butler. You two are only mere children after all so friends should suffice you both for now." She said. Kion nodded. " Let's become friends, Jacob." He told him with a bit of boldness. Kion's father didn't like the tone used and started to scold him. Jacob didn't like that one bit and interrupted the man. "Quite bold of you to use my name." He then smiled. "let's be friends, Kion.".
