Su-jin♡

Today I woke up to a loud knocking on my bedroom door. Before I could even move the blankets off of me the door swung open.

"Hey jinnie good morning I need to borrow something!" Minji had barged in and was rifling through my closet.

"Ok have fun." I muttered and rolled over going back to sleep.

Min-ji♡

I had an important meeting today with a company much bigger than mine. I've been spending more time at the office trying to prepare for their representative's visit and I'm confident that they'll be impressed by everything I have worked hard to put together. I'm not so confident however that they'll be as impressed by my...expressive clothing. Fashion genius or not, South Korea probably wasn't ready to embrace my style with open arms.

Unfortunately I didn't realize this until the morning before I was supposed to meet with these people who could very well determine my success in the business world. So now here I am barging into Su-jin's room first thing in the morning, rummaging through her closet looking for something more 'modest' and 'professional'. I emerged victorious with a sensible blouse in hand, I would have to seriously accessorize to fix this thing up but at least it's something that won't be too off-putting.

Finally satisfied with my outfit I looked at myself one last time, fixed my hair, and was out the door. I made sure the door was locked before leaving my sleeping roommate and scurried down to the bus stop. I know the bus won't come for a while and debate finding somewhere near me to eat, eventually deciding against it, just in case the bus comes early. Thankfully I had made the right decision as a few minutes later the bus DID come early, by fifteen minutes. Before I knew it I was walking into my office.

"Good morning team! Are you all ready to crush it today?" I greeted everyone, usually I try to make my rounds and greet individuals but today it was important I had all the time I could get to prepare.

"Great. I need that back table cleared, anyone feel like helping me out?" I could have probably handled the table myself but an extra hand never hurt. A couple hands went up offering their assistance.

"Miss Yang, you can come on back with me." I called her and she hurried over.

"I'm really glad I'm getting to work so closely with you today, Miss Kim. You're so cool." The girl told me as we walked. Her words gave me a much needed confidence and put a smile on my face.

"Thank you, I don't know how much valuable information you'll get from this though, it's just clearing a table." I thanked her and we started to fold, stack and move things. Soon enough we had cleared the table in no time at all.

Fabric samples, mock-ups, portfolio, am I missing anything? I've got the projector set up. Miss Yang is printing off the paper copies of my presentation. I could not get my mind to slow down for even a second. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths, then somebody tapped me on the shoulder. I jumped and almost stumbled into my setup.

"Sorry Miss Kim! You looked pale. I brought you a water." Byung-ho, a new hire had startled me, with the purest intentions. My reaction probably scared him too, his eyes were wide and his face blank and then he bowed apologizing again and running off.

His reaction made me think of my poor friend Sujin and her terribly embarrassing time last night. I felt a pang of guilt for waking her up so early this morning after that. I let out a sigh and put the water down getting back to work. I wanted to make sure everything was aesthetically pleasing and informative since this meeting would be like an introduction to the big leagues. I have to make a good impression.
