Su-jin ♡

I had had a mostly uneventful shift at the store, Seungcheol came in again but said nothing about my performance the day before. Now I'm on my way home, I had closed in time to take the bus today and was the only person other than the driver on the bus at this hour. It was almost creepily quiet as he drove in silence and I listened to the brakes squeal and hiss occasionally. I laid my head against the cold glass of the window and watched as we passed several closed businesses and empty streets lit up by the yellow street lamps. It was unusually quiet for a Saturday night and part of me wanted to grab my camera and come back to take pictures. The other part of me wanted to go to bed though, and she was slightly more convincing.

The brakes hissed and squealed loudly and I saw we had made it to my stop. I said goodbye to the driver and got off the bus. When the bus pulled away the wind whipped my hair around my face, I pulled my jacket closer and ran to my apartment. I scurried up the stairs as quickly as I could while fishing in my pockets for my keys. When I got to my door it took me way too long before I unlocked the damn thing and practically fell through it when Minji opened it without warning.

"Thank god it's you!" Minji exclaimed dropping the large metal water bottle she had apparently been holding. It made a loud clang as it hit the floor and she hugged me.

"I thought someone was trying to break in! You're so lucky I looked before I swung!" Even after the 'threat' had passed Minji continued to loudly cry out her fears.

"Yeah you would've knocked my head in with that thing. Why did you think I was an intruder though? I usually come in around this time." I asked and she laughed nervously.

"You weren't-" I started.

"I was!" She cut me off.

"I thought we agreed you weren't allowed to watch true crime alone anymore after last time." I reminded her, last time referring to when I came home and she had set up home alone style traps around the apartment and neglected to warn me.

"But I needed to catch up since I've been so busyyy." She whined.

"You could have waitedddd." I replied copying her tone.

"I didn't hit you this time so you can't be mad! Ok?" She  smiled at me and responded for me, "Ok."

"Ok." I copied.

Finally she let me through the door and I closed it making sure it was completely locked, then took off my shoes.

"So, how was work? You said you've been busy?" I asked going to the kitchen to find something to eat.

"I can't really tell you much, but I basically got a promotion!" She  yelled from the other room.

"Ooo~ fancy! I have tomorrow off, how should we celebrate?" I ask her returning to the living room having found nothing of interest in the kitchen.

I saw her sitting on the couch and went to join her. She thought for a minute and then I saw a spark and her eyes light up.

She turned to me with a big smile, she still didn't say anything so I spoke again, "Think of something did ya?"

"Oh absolutely I did." Her smile grew.

"Should I be nervous?" I scooted back a little and she grabbed my arm.

"Nervous? No nonono, this is gonna be so fun! See you in the morning!" She said and popped up off the couch running off to her room.

"Minji! What are we doing!? You can't just not tell me!" I ran after her but she already had her door shut and locked.
