"IDIOT DEVIL"

There really wasn't anything significant about the day that Angel Devil joined the Public Safety Devil Hunters. It was an ordinarily sunny day, with minimal clouds in the sky and a light breeze. It wasn't the harsh weather of the chilling winter, or the sweltering heat of the summer. It was a warm, sunny day. Angel Devil, who had already been a devil hunter with smaller organizations before, was assigned to work at the most infamous devil hunting company, known for its lack of regard for employee lives, characterized by their frequent deaths and traumatized relatives, and its dangerous job profile that occasionally leaves the city architecture in shambles. Especially since the addition of a new "Chainsaw Man" at the organization, these occurrences became frequent. However, that wasn't the worst of it.

She works there. Not only that, but she's the boss.

Angel couldn't stomach thinking about her anymore, so he slipped on his shoes and packed a small first-day-of-work bag in case he needed anything else, and headed there.

When he arrived to the building, he noticed the large windows the length of a grown man or larger, and thought about how much money goes into funding these devil killers each month. He thought about how maybe it isn't the devils that are so bad, but the people.

He decided that maybe it was just her that was the problem, not the other humans.

Angel Devil collected himself and strode into the menacing building as if he wasn't nervous. He pretended that the humans in this building weren't the ones slaughtering his own kind. To him, it wasn't that he couldn't understand it. In fact, it was because he understood why they wanted to kill his kind so bad that he empathized with the pitiful humans. Because for Angel, he too once had something worthwhile to protect.

Something which she took away from him.

As he walked through the long corridors to find her office, his hands grew sweaty and began to shake. He hadn't felt so angry in a long time, but he felt a temperamental heat rise to his neck upon coming closer to her office. When he reached the tallest, most detailed and intricately designed door in the hallway, he knew it belonged to her. Although, he would be kidding himself if he failed to acknowledge how everything in this building was hers.

Everything in the world belonged to her.

Regretfully, even himself.

"Enter,"  a soft, beautiful female voice sounded from within the grandeur double door.

The palace-like doors slowly slid open with a very soft creaking sound, then were held open on each side by two employees, both wearing uniforms different than the devil hunter's would wear, but similar in colour to their suits.
