The ruin guard he was previously fighting loomed over him, threatening to attack at any given second. He would make a swift movement and grab his bow, or even use his hydro vision, but at this moment, he seemed to be paralyzed by fear. It was the afternoon, so it wasn't as bright outside as earlier. The ruin guard had attacked abnormally. It striked his ribs instead of what ruin guard usually tend to do first, aka going for the leg or arm. It's like this one was truly a murder machine. Weakly, he tried to lift himself out of the way as the monster towering over him threatened to shoot missiles at childe. But to no avail, because he quickly winced and grimaced, being humbled and quickly sinking back into the ground. The last thing he saw before fading into unconsciousness was a flash of black clothing out of the corner of his eye, and an oddly comforting sensation that whatever it was would help him.

Childe woke up in an unfamiliar room. He was surrounded by white, occasional black. He was in a bed, one he didn't recognize. "Where the f—" his short thought was interrupted by a tall figure walking in. It had a black and brown coat and black shirt and pants on, along with long black and brown hair. As soon as his eyes focused, he noticed the figure was attempting to talk to him. He blinked and tried to sit up, but they quickly reached forward, and that's when childe was able to make out what they were saying. "No, no, don't get up.. you were terribly injured. It'll only make your case worse if you tried getting up."
Knowing that someone was taking care of him, he suddenly came to the realization that he wouldn't be getting back to missions any time soon, and let out an audible sigh.
