"On the day heaven tried to take my soul
You came down like in fairytales of old
I said open your white wings for me
And you said close your eyes and just believe" - Come With Me by Chxrlotte

Letoya was falling through the sky

Letoya was falling through the sky. She kept trying to fly but her wings weren't moving.  She looked down and saw the ground quickly approaching her. Tears began to fill her eyes and she began to panic. Letoya desperately tried to flap her wings, but nothing happened. Regardless of how hard she tried, her wings would not move; she just continued to fall.

This was the end for Letoya. She was falling to her death and there was nothing she could do about it. Finally accepting her fate, Letoya closed her tear-filled eyes and braced for impact.

Letoya's body slammed into the earth causing a loud bang. The sound echoed and shook the trees that were surrounding her. The sound was so loud that it caused all the animals and insects that were in the forest to scatter.

Letoya's eyes fluttered open. The first thing she saw was the sky, the place where she once lived. She wanted to go back but she was banished and there was no going back now.

The bright rays of daylight on her face clouded her vision. Her ears were ringing, her head was spinning and every inch of her body burned. Letoya was confused about what she was feeling, never in her life did she feel this way. She didn't feel good, she was hurt. How could she be hurt? She's an angel and angels don't get hurt. Even if they did, they certainly don't feel it.

The thing is, Letoya is no longer an angel, that's why she can experience pain right now. She was no longer protected from the horror of the world; she was now exposed to the suffering of the world. Letoya was now of the world; she was practically human now.

When Letoya was in heaven she remembered that humans were not immortal, they could easily die. Did that mean that she was going to die? She did just drop out of the sky and she was feeling pain.

At this point, Letoya was horrified; she didn't want to die; she had to redeem herself and get back to heaven. Letoya closed her eyes and began to pray that God would show her some mercy. She just needed a second chance; she couldn't die just yet.

With no other option, Letoya stumbled to her feet and made her way out of the forest. The pain in her body grew stronger with every step she took. It was taking everything in her not to just drop to the floor and die.

The pain was becoming unbearable but Letoya pushed through it. She could see the exit of the forest, basically the light at the end of the tunnel. She was almost there; she had to keep going. She refused to give up; she just had to make it back home.

Finally, Letoya made it out of the forest and stepped into what seemed to be a road. The sound of cars passing by honking their horns filled her ears along with the constant ringing. Due to her vision being blurry she wasn't sure if she was actually on the street or the side of it.
